Does anyone even read the article? This is less than 5% of their total staff. It is not unheard of for companies to trim the fat at a rate like that and is less than some recent other cuts from tech giants. From '21 to '22, they hired 40,000 people. It is still a huge net increase even with layoffs, and I bet they are getting nice severance packages.

I would hate this if I shared your opinion. I understand where youre coming from. I dont like that intentional fouling is part of the game though, so I am really looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

No. The target score is the leading teams point total + 25 points. They still need to score 25 more points.

Edit: I like that they are trying this. I am all for anything to make the last couple of game time minutes of NBA games not such a fucking slog.

I am missing a lot of context here, but there are plenty of people who got too into their roles and it hurt their performance.

I think he wouldve been good, but I like Pedro for it too.

I dont use preworkout. Years ago I finished a jug that my buddy convinced me to get. I did not like how it made me feel and did not really experience a noticeable performance boost unless I was overly tired before getting to the gym.

20 miles over the posted speed limit is dangerous regardless of BAC level. Cops also dont give breathalyzers for fun, so you definitely did something to earn it. Im sure from your perspective you thought you were being safe, but obviously that wasnt the case.

In the US, most people dont go to the doctor for minor illness. I dont know a single person who has gone for a minor fever and runny nose.

There was a 20ish car pile up in Missouri two days ago with multiple semis, injuries, and casualties. I only know about that one because my family was behind it. They were parked while EMS and cleanup did their thing for 5 hours before they could continue. I can only imagine how long the road would be blocked for a 100 car pileup.

If we want to play this game, capitalism has bastardized pretty much every major holiday, just none more so than Christmas and Valentines Day.

Like TC, I didnt want to get busted on the family computer. I had dialup internet through high school, so about once every few weeks Id spend a couple of hours copying pictures into paint to print off. I was apparently better at hiding them.

Consider one of his penalties was directly because of solid passing from Mbappe forced a penalty.
He does deserve credit for that.

The other was a handball on his shot. His in-play goal was also a rocket one-touch. Regardless how you feel about penalties, Mbappe had a phenomenal game.

What's the argument for Ronaldo over Messi?

I'm a football noob but I assumed Ronaldo was universally considered the best of all time.

More club team success with more CL titles. I think Ronaldo has more overall goals, but Messi has more goals+assists. Messi has the edge in a lot of the stats, including the player of the year awards I believe.

What people think they are worth doesnt really matter, but they are absolutely easier than goals in play. To suggest otherwise is silly.

Me too. Its already the easiest way to score in the game. Being able to give all of them to your best kicker is crazy. Imagine if Curry could shoot all of the Warriors free throws. Fans would riot. Ho well.

Agreed. Its an awful ride. I got to walk right in and still felt like it was a waste of time, and I enjoy all the movies. It would definitely be a skip for me.

Agree with Gringotts not being worth the wait. Its fine, but nothing special. Velociraptor and Hagrid are. The Hulk ride is another standout for me.

GF and I went in October. We did two parks over two days and didnt get express pass. I dont think we really needed it. We did all the stuff we wanted to do and hit most of the rides, including all of the big ones.

If you are doing both parks on one day, you need to look up what rides/attractions you want to make sure you hit. Some have huge lines no matter what time of day (talking 2+ hours) and we saw plenty of long express pass lines too. I dont think one day is enough to do everything in both parks on a packed day, but maybe express pass makes the difference.
