I keep going to new areas to catch something and then it's ten levels higher than my team. Goddamn Kirlia (which was invisible for the whole fight) OHKO'd two of my team and then teleported out. Also I caught a shiny and then got it killed. One thing, my character's expression got stuck on a 'sad' face for a while and I don't know if it was just a bug or a feature. If it was intentional, it was because I didn't like a sandwich (which was still 3-stars!), but it meant that my character looked miserable during the post-gym photo, which was hilarious. --- Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet. Sometimes they'll give you two minutes to do a trail which takes literally five seconds and sometimes you've gotta try multiple times to learn a pattern or something and even then only just squeek by. The third island was by far my least favourite too. It has a TON of 2D sections in the open world area, but if you don't start them at the right point, the 2D perspective doesn't kick in properly and some of them are impossible to navigate in 3D. --- Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet. It's so nice that they're actually developing the lore again after so long and that the characters are having proper conversations with each other about something other than what to do next. I was intrigued when it was announced to release on Switch with an alternative to motion controls... but it wasn't actually a viable alternative apparently. The controls still leave much to be desired, to the point where most people would just prefer to suffer the motion controls.I played it last year when it came out with a pro controller and had no problems. The only issue is that using a controller makes combat a cake walk. Wiggling an analogue stick is much faster than swinging a remote, so you basically blitz any combat. Getting the Hylian Shield was easy. And a lot of the sections I had heard nightmare stories about (like the harp playing) were no problem. As for the game itself, it's got a few really cool dungeon mechanics and Groose is a GOAT Zelda character, but it's clear they either had a strict budget or stripped stuff for BotW. There are three main areas and you revisit each area multiple times remixing it each time. But as has been said, it's still a Zelda game, so it's still a good game, it's just on the lower end compared to other Zelda games. --- Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet. | JackMan 10/10/22 9:14:58 AM #4 | It looks like they're digitally remastering/upscaling the original footage and they have to resort to the original footage for certain episodes and transitions, because the way the original dub was made makes it hard for the AI to upscale it properly. I don't think they're fully uncutting everything that was cut though as it sounds like it's still a faithful reproduction of the original dub. Just where those cuts and changes caused problems or were edited improperly. Still, a tremendous undertaking!
