Super Castlevania IV is my go to one to just pick up and play a bit.

I mean, there's a chance that they've dealt with white people in the past that complained when it came with the head and tail in the past. Plenty of places will do the "Ok, just so you know, this is SPICY" speech as well with food lol I wouldn't call it racism, just playing it safe with people not from their culture. If the worst racial profiling you've had to deal with was "My fish didn't come with the head", you've lead a pretty charmed life and should maybe you know, move on. You could always just ask "Hey, doesn't this usually come with the head and tail?" and see their response instead of griping like a whiny bitch though.

Its actually not on the menu anymore. When McDonald's started getting more flak for marketing unhealthy food for children, their response was to add fruit as a sub for fries, and stopped having cheese burgers, which was a weird call lol I gotta imagine they difference with 1 piece of cheese is negligible. That being said, when I was a kid I always got the chicken McNugget Happy Meal. I gotta imagine that's still the most popular option.

My parents were super devout Catholics when I was growing up. We went to church every Sunday, they were really involved in the church community (Mom was a Sunday school teacher, dad was in the Knights of Columbus and a Eucharistic Minister), did my Confirmation, the whole 9 yards. Then when the sexual abuses scandals broke, they started to distance themselves from the church and just stopped going altogether eventually. They both still believe in God , pray, etc, but their faith in the actual Catholic church got really broken and they decided they didn't really want any part of it anymore. Felt like they had been lied to their whole lives, basically.

Its a short trailer. Most likely there are introductions, explanations from Toad, etc that aren't in it. We literally have two lines from Mario to go by.

Definitely agree that SMB 3 and Super Show were fun cartoons for what they were. The only one I think could legitimately be called terrible was the Super Mario World one where they made Yoshi Jar Jar Binks before Jar Jar Binks was a thing.

It does say something that I DIDN'T watch the Super Mario World show lol I was 11 at the time, so I may have also kind of aged out of that. With SMB 3, every episode opened with the map screen of the world the episode was set in, and just seeing game footage at all on TV seemed like a novelty back then. I was a lot easier to please when I was 9 lol

i like it, feels like the terrible old cartoon but with potential to not be terrible.

I'd argue that the cartoon wasn't "terrible", it was just made for 5-10 year olds to be like "OOH! NINTENDO STUFF!", not everything needs to be watchable for adults, the SMB Super Show and Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 were a lot of fun if you were the perfect age. They did exactly what they were meant to do.

Sounds like Pratt did mix in the Brooklyn accent a bit, which honestly, the "Mario is a plumber from Brooklyn who ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom" is the story I grew up on.
