That's funny, my first serious gf was the same way. We had her Family Guy DVDs playing while we went to sleep. It lead to some funny situations. Doing it while the "You Have Aids" song happened to play was hilariously awkward, we had to stop and laugh.

Sony is king of wireless earbuds, imo.
Same. I've had mine for about 6 months and they are far and away better then any other brand I've tried.

TopicTurns out fruit flies are also attracted to beer
xMythic

I get them in my house sometimes too. I have a habit of leaving bananas out too long. What I do is get a cup and put old beer or apple cider vinegar inside mixed a few drops of dish soap. Then I cover it with plastic wrap and poke a few holes in it, and use tape or a rubber band to keep the plastic on. I put the cup near where I set my drink, and another on my kitchen counter. The flies go to the decoy cup and die, while my beer stays clean.

Another thing you can do if you really want to get rid of them is mix 1 part salt, 1 part baking soda, and 2 parts vinegar. Pour it down your drain at night and let it sit over night, then rinse it out in the a.m. with hot water.

xMythic

When my hair was short I used American Crew pomade or fiber, depending on how I was styling it. Now that it's long on top I don't use anything, I just pull it back and tie it up with a band.
The exception is on days when I wash and condition my hair, I have to use just a little spritz of hairspray to keep it under control until it stops being so flyaway. I use Neutrogena Hydroboost conditioner and shampoo once a week. They work great, my hair has never looked or felt so healthy and nice.

I worked grave for 13 months. It took about two solid months for my body to adjust to the backward sleep hours. I basically had no life during that time, just slept and worked. I literally sleepwalked around the gaming floor (worked at a casino) like a zombie during the final two hours of my shift for those first couple months. It was rough but I eventually adjusted. I would sleep from 9-3 and have enough time to get stuff done before work. But after a year the hours were no longer compatible with my life and I found a day job in an office.

TopicAny of you here have ever worked as a cashier and taken in a fake bill?
xMythic
07/27/22 2:52:40 PM
#7
I used to work at a casino on the gaming floor. One of my duties was breaking bills and giving change. I had a customer ask me to break a $100. Normally, we wouldn't spend time checking bills since it was so fast paced on the floor, and it annoys people which reduced our chances of getting a tip if they happened to win a jackpot. If a counterfeit did get passed, the vault cashiers would catch it later anyways. But we were encouraged to check large bills with our pens since counterfeits were being passed in the region.

The hundred I got was counterfeit. I was puzzled at first, had never seen a positive pen mark. I probably should've paid attention during training. I called over a nearby security guard who then took the bill and escorted the customer away. The on-site FBI agent, which up until then I had no idea was a thing, questioned the customer and Secret Service was notified.

Exactly. They spend all day idling or hauling ass on a call.

Driving them sucks. People in front of you constantly hit the brakes and drive at, or under, the speed limit. Then you got the interior on the vehicle. Think about how many people have been transported in there, puking/spitting/urinating/defecating/bleeding in the backseat.

Morrowind was the first game that came to mind. You're a stranger in a strange land. You get very little, and often vague, directions. Everyone you talk to was of little help and they hated you. What an experience it was figuring things out, making discoveries, and exploring. There were so many interesting areas, caves and tombs tucked away, unique and powerful items scattered far and wide, and essential NPCs and items so far off the beaten path it's a wonder that I randomly discovered most of them without a guide.
