I taught for many years in a district that allowed paddling but I never paddled a student. I had to witness many and I didn't like that either.

The only thing I wear is a gold cross just about like the one TC posted but it didn't cost very much. I don't wear my wedding ring/engagement ring combo since it has a loose diamond ( it only has one, I ain't fancy). I got it caught on something. No. My daughter was medflighted in one. That was the closest I've ever been to one. Very loud was my impression and scary but the whole situation was scary. I don't think I would want to fly in one for fun.

The closest store to me is a Dollar General. About 8 miles away. It is just about 3 years old, nice and clean. I can sometimes find things there I can't elsewhere.

Just being able to travel. We had to stay and work on the farm on summer break while the " rich kids" flew places on commercial or private jets. Hell, even driving miles and miles to go somewhere was a rarity for us. We didn't have time for vacations.

I did know many people much poorer though. Many folks I knew didn't have indoor toilets. Many only had wood burning stoves for heat and no AC. We didn't have AC until I was around 10. I knew a girl whose dad turned a small back porch into her bedroom. He used an old car windshield for a window.

No. If he has problems with my friends then he would probably have problems with me. That being said, I am married and we have many mutual friends and then some that are not. Not due to any dislike of the person issues but more interests and hobbies but we all get along.

Somewhat. I live far from town so I try to get as much done in one trip as possible. I drive the beat up old car more that gets better gas mileage when I can.

The school I taught at was a new building. All doors were locked on the outside. If you wanted in you had to go through two sets of double doors which led directly into the main office. There you had to sign in, get a visitors badge then go through another set of doors. We also had gates that could seal off parts of the building. Only part of the campus had outside gates.

The problem is, if a current student wanted to bring in a gun they could still sneak one in. This only deterred strangers on campus and even they could probably find a way around this.

Thus is rural Arkansas. I remember the kids who killed in Jonesboro who lured the students outside so there will always be holes in our safety systems. The sad thing is, this incident seemed to have hardly any safety measures.

Never lost in the woods and I have been alone at night a few times. It is kinda where I live.

I don't hate them I just avoid them.

All I can say is he sounds like a creepy, angry old dude and I'd be careful with the kids around him.

BBQ chicken, baked beans, baked potato and a roll. There is a local park that used to be a state park but I guess the state got tired of the upkeep and let it go to a group of people that are taking care of it. Every so often there is a cookout/ fundraiser to get money for upkeep. The food was very good.

I don't do anything to them unless they somehow break below the quick then I clip them as low as possible so they won't hurt. Or if they break off ragged them I clip them. I couldn't tell y'all the last time I polished them.

My daughter had to relearn to eat after her brain AVM. She drank a lot of fruit smoothies, ate yogurt and things like mashed potatoes. The difficult thing is finding actual food items that are not just sweet, dessert kind of items. If it is just short term there should be no problem.

Tooth pain is horrible. I hope all turns out well.

I remember being in a crib and a playpen but I don't know how old I was. Of course these are how far back I can remember, not when I gained consciousness.

Dunno but I know that backyard growers are being warned about it and I have seen a list of precautions to take.

$50 at the most.my feet are small and it is hard to find them in my size. A few years ago I just gave up and went to the children's section at Wal-Mart and bought little boys light up tennis shoes. My students thought it was great.

Haven't noticed an egg shortage but have noticed a lot of other items are hard to find.
