I actually enjoyed a lot of cyberpunk and have been meaning to revisit it since I'm sure it's been improved a lot since I played. Was really hoping it would take off and develop an online version (like gta online) but at this point, I'm just waiting for it to drop below $25 so I can buy it on steam since the console version had too many bugs for me to finish it.

Castro's father was from northwest spain. Franco also has heritege from the exact same region of Spain which is why he looks very similar to a younger Fidel. I'm all for people calling out James Franco over the creepy allegations and the fact that he's just a mediocre actor, but this isn't white washing. Pretty dumb thing for people to complain about in my opinion.

My resume has a couple of years where I was "self employed". Which is kind of true, but obviously misleading. I was mostly just being a bum and living off savings, but occasionally did side work for a few hundred dollars here and there fixing the neighbor's cars and farm equipment.

I drove for a couple of years after I turned 21 because I didn't really know what I wanted to do career wise. It's pretty great pay for relatively little training. And depending on the weather and where/when you're going somewhere, it's often a pretty relaxing easy going job. I still miss those 3am summer night drives along rural highways.

Assuming automation hasn't totally taken over, I could easily see myself buying my own truck and becoming an owner operator as a part of semi-retirement once I get older.

You don't need a pitbull but legitamately, any dog that will bark and make noise is better than most alarm systems. I wouldn't necessarily suggest a dog purely for that though. Only get one if you actually want a pet. Them providing security is just a secondary benefit IMO. I do however have a few arlo cameras at my house and think they work great for the price.

I already assume Ill die by 72. No man on my dads side (that I know of) has lived past that age despite many of them appearing relatively healthy. On the other hand, my moms side routinely live past 90 despite drinking/smoking into their early 80s. So I guess well see whose genetics are stronger.

its admittedly extremely concerning as my dad is approaching his 60s and I worry I may only have 10-12 years left with him.

I always take off days near thanksgiving which are technically supposed to be blackout dates where they dont have to give me the time off but it hasnt been a problem yet. My company is small enough that theyre pretty flexible and understanding. As long as half of us arent all trying to take off the same time, they dont care when we take off.

At one point last year I had a vacation planned and didnt get to finish up a job before I left. I just bought my coworker a bottle of whiskey to repay him for going back and taking care of it for me.

Yes, I just went off of styling. If you want more performance you can always add hp, upgrade the brakes, etc. It's much more difficult to change the general aesthetic of a vehicle in a tasteful way.

I wonder what actually happened in the episode to get her so wide eyed

I had to look up the actual sales pitch to see what happened because I was curious. Basically she over valued her company and asked for 1million dollars for only 5% of the company while her net profit was barely 100k a year, no patent yet, etc. Her eyes got super wide when one shark offered a deal of giving her what she was asking for but only if she hit her estimated sales numbers the next year. If she failed to hit her projection, his 5% would instead be 20%. In the end two people made her offers and she turned down both of them.

When I was in highschool we still had a kmart but virtually no one shopped there. You could go take the bikes out and ride around the store and employees wouldn't say a word because they were basically just getting paid to sit there and do nothing 90% of the time. I was surprised the store stayed open as long as it did. It was like that for at least a handful of years.

Nothing in that link goes against what I said. And to be clear, I'm not an anti masker. But the masks most people wear will only stop large droplets and spittle. They're not filtering any of the smaller droplets that linger in the air. I'm not saying they do nothing, I'm saying they do very little.

I'll never understand why people are so fucking childish about wearing a mask. It's seriously not that big of a deal. Just...just put the fucking mask on, guys. Like for real.

if you're working in close proximity to others, I agree. In a warehouse where it's easy to keep distance from one another, I really don't see the point. I have no problem wearing a mask where one is required, but I also think it's silly to think that everyone needs to wear one all the time whenever they leave their house. Especially since the cloth and surgical masks that 90% of people wear do basically nothing against coronavirus. It's all just safety theater.

Given the tactics we've known Putin to use against high profile critics, this feels like the best you can reasonably expect out of someone in Ovechkin's position

Yes but Ovie has been an open Putin supporter for years. You'd hope that something like this might lead him to be less supportive, although I don't think it's fair to ask him to do it now while his family is still in Russia.

In contrast, Panarin has talked negatively about Russia in the past and afterwards felt the need to take time off and go home to check on his family during the nhl season.
