He should have stayed dead. There is nothing remotely interesting about him. And he still manages to be more interesting than any villain who came after him which is extra sad

First time, probably not. One never appeared and I just didn't know you could find it there. I think I finally found a Pikachu in the power plant.

In FR/LG I caught a Pikachu there and evolved it to Raichu when it was still level 3. I then traded it to the NPC who gives you an Electrode. So I have a level 3 Electrode, for no good reason other than to have a weird little trophy. Still have it in Pokemon Home to this day.

What the fuck is wrong with this board and insisting on being contrarians. Hell, Sayaka shouldn't have even gotten this far, what the hell are y'all doing letting her live this long?

That case is probably the most memorable case in all of DR (partly because it's first but also because it was good).11037, etc.

And yes Sayaka is a bitch but she was a big part of what made that case interesting I thought.

I liked that they used her as a fake love interest setup for Makoto. Really tells you right at the beginning to trust no one.

So it's not so much about her but her role in the story. At least for me.

Peko because she is the least memorable of these options. Her murder trial doesn't stand out, I thought it was almost as boring as Gundham's. But at least Gundham was memorable to me outside the chapter where he dies.

I don't like Sayaka but it's hard to vote her out this early. Her dying first was so easy to see coming but they also managed to make her manipulative and a little villainous which I didn't expect. Props for that.

Sad to see my boy Kazuichi will be voted out but I understand it. The Sonia thing was funny at first but it got a little old. Like dude, move on.

But also why is Ana's "race score" an 8 on that scale?

Yeah. Is Ana, as an Egyptian woman, really less "diverse" than whatever a 10 is? How are you quantifying that exactly. And how is it not purely a judgement call based on racial bias.

Ok Blizzard.

Anyway, I love Ratchet & Clank and have been playing since the first game's release, but I wouldn't call the series iconic because it's always kinda just been...there. Never reaching the world-renowned heights of Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, or even the lesser-but-still-widely recognized heights of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. You can tell the developers wanted so badly for the franchise to have more mainstream appeal when they basically rebooted the series to be "kid-friendly" from the movie onward, but if anything, it just seems Ratchet and Clank has lived beyond its natural lifespan. Many people still agree that A Crack In Time should have been the end, and now the series exists in a sort of "meh, competent but nothing special" vacuum.

But yeah, I love the first four games (1-Deadlocked) and thought the Future series was adequate. Personally, it's been mostly downhill since All 4 One, and as the user above said, it's just been chugging along ever since.

I totally agree and I think the kid friendliness really started with A4O. They should just go back to what made it special in the first place.

And they should bring back David Beaugard (sp?) because those funky PS2 soundtracks kick the shit out of the generic crap they use now.

I think Ana from Overwatch is one of the most fun characters in any multiplayer game I've ever played. So yes, but they have to have a high skill ceiling for me to get into them.

I also agree that healers get blamed all the time and it can be stressful/annoying.

Yeah you're right. I was thinking 2001. Mixed it up with Jak and Daxter maybe.

It feels like one of those franchises that keeps chugging along but isn't really a huge deal. So maybe classic but not iconic?

Yeah I totally get that. Insomniac is such a great dev. I'm glad that even though they're making big budget Spiderman games now they still do R&C and make it look just as beautiful graphically.

I think it's right on the verge of that. It's been around for over 20 years now.

I just think being a Sony IP hurts it because Sony's never been as good at marketing kid friendly games (I say that with complete respect because I love R&C, but that's what it is). If it was on Nintendo it'd be much more popular.
