And worst, you just know that the pacing of the film will have it be where Jackman showing up was supposed to be a grand reveal a la Hulk in Thor Ragnarok.

I agree. The other big one that would have been awesome learning for the first time in the theater was Spider-Mans MCU intro.

True, but plot details are much easier to keep under wraps than casting details. Even with Infinity War, it was leaked which actors were on which sets, so you knew which charterers were getting paired up beforehand. There is no way to keep Hugh as Wolvie a secret. Game of Thrones had one of its biggest reveals spoiled by casting leakers. It was such a poorly kept secret that SNL did a skit about how not a secret it was.

I had a great-grandpa make it to 102. I have a grandpa relatively healthy at 91. Both grandmas are even healthier in their upper 80s. It isnt all great news for me though. Both sets of grandparents had children who didnt make it to 40.

Its easier when you don't spend large amounts of time lying to strangers on the internet.

They'll do what was done with Wheel of Time. The publishers will gather his notes, hire a writer (One who has a similar writing style and/or genre interest and experience), and this writer will complete based on those and will have to adopt a degree of creativity to construct the narrative.

Pretty sure GRRM has said he doesnt want anyone to finish it in the case he cant. I dunno who owns those rights though.

Disagree. People watch shows that are either already cancelled or renewal is not confirmed. Thats essentially what this is. In general, people will still consume incomplete art.

I feel like people complaining about dry heat dont know what consistently high humidity is really like. Its so fucking awful. Its humid where I live and it makes even high 70s feel like a sauna. I visited the Midwest recently and was pleasantly surprised at how nice 88 degrees actually feels. I was prepared to melt on a walk and ended up not even sweating.

Got it at the end of June and was sick for a solid 5 days. Fever, sore throat, headache, body aches, constantly tired. Fever broke without medicine after day 2, but everything else remained a few more days. Still have a lingering cough. I am boosted, but I think Im due for another booster soon. Felt exactly like the flu I got at the end of 19, so I dont think this was my first time with it. COVID felt different to me than a normal cold or flu.

Its pretty shitty but luckily at no point was life-threatening for me.

The gf got me for the most part. I eventually suspected her before the reveal, but I wasnt calling her out early in the movie. I think part of it is I definitely wanted her to be good.

Don't Look Up hit a little too close to home. Replace asteroid with climate change, and I think that's mostly how it will play out just over a longer time.

I don't think this is really news to anyone, but the scale is pretty damning. I'm also kinda curious about where these numbers come from (but not curious enough to actually look into it).

This is the part I don't understand. Long-term for both corporations and the economy it is better if workers are paid better wages. The greed of a few really ruin it for everyone else.

Expected doesnt mean its not important or you can half-ass the plot point. It was poorly done, and the movie suffers for it.

A lot of fans have seen the Clone Wars series.

A vast majority of movie watchers havent seen a single episode of Clone Wars. Using a childrens cartoon that came out three years after the movie as a crutch is dumb. I also think Clone Wars is vastly overrated by the fans, but that is a different discussion.

Honestly the most WTF worthy part of Revenge of the Sith is how Anakin goes "he should be put on trial!" to "ok time to kill the kiddos!" in the span of about 3 minutes.

Im always surprised Anakins rather abrupt turn gets such a pass from the fans. It is a huge black mark against RotS imo. Its why I cant get into the RotS is on par with the OT crowd.

Because it is a departure from the traditional Zelda formula. By definition it can't be the definitive Zelda game for that reason.

Personally I still like the 2D Zeldas better. ALttP is my favorite.

I still think an RJ trilogy where he gets to work with original characters and story would be great. Hope we get it eventually. TLJ isnt nearly as bad on rewatches and looks like a masterpiece when compared to TRoS.

If they feel that outsourcing remasters doesnt create a good enough product, Im glad they shut them down. I want the main teams working on new games anyways. Im glad the lesson wasnt to put the main teams on remasters.

From the article, this sounds like an honest mistake. Its a tragedy and could have been easily avoided, but nothing here indicates foul play.

Ive never been to one, so I dont have any opinion on them. But to reinforce my point that the only reason this is even a story is drag, googling burlesque show for kids brings back several shows and no protest articles. There were a few headlines along the lines of dont take your kids to R-rated burlesque shows. Id agree with that and would be fine applying that standard to drag shows. This particular drag show I would not classify as R-rated.

The only question I have is what did the bar do to make itself family friendly? If they were serving alcohol at all, Id think it would be way too easy for kids to steal drinks. The sign isnt great optics, but I dont think its that bad either. Not sure what the issue with tipping is. Not like they were sliding into her g-string. There was nothing sexual about it. Do people think the only place there is tipping is at a strip club? The show itself was pretty tame from what I could see. Nothing that a kid wouldnt see on TV or in a PG13 movie or at a Hooters-type place. Certainly not grooming anything. The only reason this is a story at all is because its drag.

The first movie is legit the best action movie of the 80s.

I watched it for the first time earlier this year and boy was it rough. The stunts and action were A+, but everything else dragged the movie down quite a bit for me. Id recommend just watching the stunts if you could. Movie is dated and bad outside of that.

For those just interested in watching the trilogy, Im pretty sure HBO Max has all of them.

Wetter did have the caveat with a bit of training as well as stipulating it average person; above-average American. What he said is a fair statement.

Thats impressive. I dont do long distance running, but I did a mile sprint earlier this year and hit under 6 minutes for the first time ever. Its hard to fathom keeping a 6:30 pace for 13+ miles.

Yeah, Im in Texas as well. I saw the conditions and thought thats just Tuesday. It wouldnt even be called a heat wave here. Im kinda surprised someone in good enough shape to finish a half marathon would succumb to it, but on the flip side I know I cant handle the cold. The people in my area are just more used to the heat. It is still dangerous and any loss of life from it is tragic.
