I think it really started with Ghostbusters, when all other fandoms became alert over what needs to be changed, sacrificed, or outright destroyed, in order to appease people who can't leave their personal problems at the door.

Which Ghostbusters? The all-female one?

I don't think "created in God's image" refers to physical apperance.

"You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."

My religion (Jehovah's Witness) believes that this verse is true, and we are under ban in several countries.

So I don't see the problem

This is what we call a "bad faith argument". You've already dismissed any counterarguments I could potentially make before I've made them lol

I'm not dismissing arguments, I'm refusing to get into any arguments in the first place.

At most I can say that there are some shows, movies, and games that I think are apolitical. If you disagree, that's fine, and I'm not going to argue about whether or not Pong or anything else really has some deeper political meaning that I overlooked, because I think that would be stupid.

Well that's just silly. But only because Pong doesn't have an actual narrative. You can't exactly do a thorough literary analysis on something that has no story.

And yet, someone did just that and wrote a whole article about the politics of Pong, proving my point. If it can be done for Pong, it can be done for everything else.

That's why I'm not listing examples.

Like what?

I refuse to give examples, because I'm sure somebody will be quick to do mental gymnastics and fabricate a political narrative out of thin air about anything I could name.

For example, not even Pong is safe: https://press.invincible.ink/game-pile-pong/

They've always had some sort of agenda behind them, I can't think of an era where there wasn't any propaganda in entertainment.

There are plenty of individual movies, shows and games where there's no moral, no lesson, no point of view that the creators are trying to push, and it's just mindless fun. You can find these works in every era, I'm sure.

Sure, maybe there was never any era which was completely void of propaganda, but that doesn't mean that these individual works never existed.

There are indeed plenty of works that have no agenda behind them.
Some people like this, and detest the works that do have an agenda behind them. This is what they are complaining about.

"everything is political!"
No.

Not rude, it's no different than using the phone to call.

This.

I get called, by co-workers, on Teams all the time. I just answer the call. I don't feel irked at all. I actually prefer that over:

>hello
*30 seconds later*
>how was your weekend?
<Good.
>I have a question, can I call you on Teams?
<Yes.

It was never foretold that a majority of people would follow his teachings, so Jesus would have no reason to feel sad about it. It would be exactly as he expected.

Matthew 7:13,14: "Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it."

It was prophesied that true Christians would be in the minority, and would be persecuted.

Here's one way to identify the true Christians, at John 13:35:
"By this all will know that you are my disciplesif you have love among yourselves."
