Instead of talking about the intensity of the joke, they take a stance that attacks comedy in general. Because the joke itself isn't offensive enough to actually provide a good reason for any reaction. So, it becomes a vague "any joke about" thing. The joke wasn't even that funny and it's an aged joke too. You have to know of GI Jane to even get it and even then, it wasn't that good of a joke. It's like a knee jerk chuckle and after that never the faintest laughter should come through again. If Jada was under going Chemo, then the joke would be way out of line.
