It's a question of whether I have anything to contribute to a given discussion. More often than not I won't. A lot of topics with some element of partisan issue will typically descend into a fairly meaningless argument as well, so I try to avoid getting caught up in that

Some fun additional details on this, local animal control attempts of the hippos in Colombia have basically continuously failed because the public in that area aren't very smart and get mad at the idea of of exterminating the hippos because they are cute local mascots.

In terms of relocating or sterilizing the hippos, apparently it is just too logistically infeasible/expensive to do on the local government's funds. Basically it is a growing powder keg issue that will go off one day probably when the hippos kill some kids or something, and there is finally the political will to do what needs to be done.

Apparently it isn't news because it got renewed for a fifth season in February, but I am mad as shit they are drawing this out for another season.

I thought season 3's ending was sufficient and then they had a teaser for season 4. Now we have had season 4 which is good overall, but has a lot of superfluous content and boring subplots, and now that I finished season 4 it is clear those were done to set up plot points for season 5. All of the Russia stuff in particularly sucked. I don't know if I will even watch season 5 this show had no business being drawn out like this in my opinion.

There was one other trial which used this mechanic in the story, patch 5.3.

Role restrictions are a bit of a problem. More than job gear restriction what really gets me is how each expansion they make 8+3 unique gear sets for crafter and gatherer classes that and locked to each class. That is a HUGE amount of unique gear sets barely anyone uses and absolutely no one glamours, considering they only do about 4 unique armor sets across the 7 roles per dungeon/raid, and gear sets are frequently recolours of old gear.

It is also why I wasn't particularly aggravated by most loot in the new pvp vendor being pallets swaps of old job gear but with same job restrictions. They have nicer textures but what is even the point of that?

Amazon is an impressively garbage company for its size. My Amazon account got suspended because I still don't know, so when I try and login to my account it directs me to a number to call. I don't live in the US so I have to call the international number provided, but guess what? It doesn't work/isn't active (last time I tried at least). So what do I do? Not use Amazon anymore. I'm not interested in managing online stores through multiple email addresses so I won't bother making a new account just for that purpose. I think the topping on the cake is that I had 2FA for my Amazon account so I have no idea why they would suspend it like that if it was for suspicious activity.

While I can believe under the Trump admin that they didn't do their job properly, this is probably a massive waste of time in regards to impacts on human health. No evidence has sufficiently linked glyphosate to cancer. Conversely, glyphosate is significantly safer than basically any other known herbicide so you'd probably be paying more in human health for less effective chemicals. Do we need herbicides at all? Not necessarily, but they do drive down the costs of plant pest control that are significant when you consider the scale of horticulture farming.

Flip side as I recall glyphosate is pretty bad for aquatic life so endangered species angle is more justifiable

It's kind of funny how Russia attempted three or four pincer moves before scrapping all the strategic finesse for a frontal assault on the city.

It is probably incredibly resource intensive so they are flushing their money down the toilet for mild territory gains and basically alienating any nation to the west of them. Still unclear what the end game here is.

What WILL mean it will be bad is the fact it probably will release completely unplayable because Bethesda are making it. I can't imagine they will suddenly fix their reputation with this game.

Depending on the atmospheric pressure the adhesives that held the wings together may have evaporated. Idk too much physics but liquid water evaporates in a vacuum (but can also condense into a solid because physics is weird)

Apparently the director is an adherent of Shia Islam and has some Shia supremacist views (vs Sunni Islam). Apparently the movie might also be kinda racist because it depicted some of Mohammed's homies with black actors while the good guys have lighter skin despite them historically being in the same region so not making sense).

I think the reason they pulled it was stupid but it might just be a trashy film at heart, and even Iran banned it for inciting religious division. Ultimately I wasn't going to ever see it, but interesting story don't see this too often
