Think I have to give up on these "Growth" missions in Alchemy Stars, they're asking for absurd things like clearing Chapter 6 when I'm still stumbling through Chapter 3, or characters with second ascensions when I'm just now getting characters their first. All of this with less than a week before the missions expire.

Also have to worry about this side event where again, I'm not exactly powerful enough to get through it easily.

Interesting how Tohru (or someone) said that they might visit again. Best case scenario says that they might have a rerun, which would be great since getting so many copies of a collab unit in such a short time is kinda a dick move :<

It was Tohru, yeah.

On one hand, it's nice to know a rerun is possible.
On the other hand, my earlier desperation just looks even more pathetic now. >_>

Yeah that's a shame for sure. Sadly that is the gacha life. This is the first collab the game's had, so we don't really know what their schedule looks like.

Yeah, about that... I ended up buying all the Maid Recruitment Packs in the store in one final attempt and managed to secure Kanna *and* Tohru. Normally it's a personal policy of mine to not spend money on games I've barely started playing, and hell, even then I'll barely drop a couple of dollars. This was quite a bit more than that.

While I'm satisfied with the results, it could have just as easily gone completely sour. Post-gamble clarity hits like a bitch.

Nikinis is pretty top tier. Honestly most converters are. If you want to use Lucoa then Nikinis is a very good first step

I don't doubt that she's good, it just sucks that I'm probably not going to get Kanna (much less Tohru) before the event is over because I've exhausted all of my free sources of premium currency, and it's always a big unknown when/if collab events will come back in certain games.

Jeezum crow, it seems like Alchemy Stars is dead set on only giving me luck on Tohru's banner. I've gotten 3 of each Tohru and Lucoa whereas I've only gotten a single Kanna and no Elma from even more pulls on their banner <_<

At least you actually got Kanna.

I had a *6 finally show up and it was just someone named Nakinis or something like that.

Bleh, that last post of mine just came off as whiney.

I'll try something else to get over these current hurdles.

But then I also rather enjoy GFL (especially since I had a new phone, IT DOESN'T LAG) and BA is 'less hard' in a way.

I do agree that BA's 'walls' are much more troublesome, especially in terms of characters compared to GFL that barely has any gacha aspect in them.

Yeah, my current "wall" is the event going on right now with the new challenge stages. Trying to make me field level 50+ units with adequate weapon and terrain typing is bad enough, but making me deal with bullshit map mechanics is downright awful.

Guess the honeymoon is finally over, and now I enter the "how long can I tolerate frustration for waifus" phase of the relationship going forward.

As for the newly attempted Alchemy Stars, it feels like it gets less and less fun the further I go because every map is turning into an increasingly longer slog all while making me have to dance around some new mechanic. (Gathering Intel and dodging those cannons can especially fuck off forever.)

Doesn't help that auto-battle is disabled until *after* I finish a map, as if I'd ever want to step back into any of them that aren't Resource Raid. I can't even compel myself to go back to *3 stuff I didn't do the first time because I legit do not want to replay some of these battles again (and I don't trust the AI to do it for me).
