I feel like if this is how the show was six years ago it would be way more popular than it is now. Too bad youtube holds channels like this down now. This episode is pretty hilarious. Kind of reminds me of the wheel of torture episode with Ben getting drunk and having a good time. I didn't expect to see Vaush in studio doing pushup contests and getting the shock collar. Wish he would be there more because his humor meshes so well with theirs.

Vikings: Valhalla dropped today on Netflix and is already getting downvote bombed because they dared have a black woman as Jarl. It's because her name is Jarl Haakon and the real Jarl Haakon was a white man. I don't see how this should affect anyone's enjoyment of the show, but let's be honest these people watched 10 minutes of the show before taking their snowflake outrage to the internet.

Seriously that's the worst thing about the internet today. Everybody's being corralled into the little internet ecosystems of Microsoft, Apple, Google, and Facebook with their devices, apps, and services, so you can become dependent and continue to feed those corporations money. Even if you don't pay them directly they're still making money from you while convincing you you need them.

I heard that Ben extended an invitation to TJ and the other ex-hosts, but they didn't get back to him. I get the impression they don't like him at all anymore. I still wish we knew more about what led to the split. Sucks that they left it to speculation.

Anyway I wasn't able to catch it live unfortunately, but I'm watching a bit now. Adam getting shocked is hilarious, he makes it look almost enjoyable. I swear Scott is the best thing to happen to the show in a long time. Dude's just so damn funny. Nice to see Hannibal & Monty in studio for once. I was kind of hoping we'd be surprised and fucking Shabiski would be there sitting in a corner by himself taking dabs and not talking to anyone.

Honestly, hardcore modes never really feel like "challenges" to me so much as they just promote excessive caution and defensive play. The game doesn't get any more difficult, the penalty for failure is just increased.

I think you also have to put much more thought into your equipment. Traders, gamblers, and cube recipes become much more useful. You have to pay more attention to stats like hit rate, block rate, and resistances. In D2 in my experience playing this way requires a much more strategic approach to the game. If your goal is to reach Baal or Diablo in hell mode then it's pretty challenging.

Try playing D2 untwinked on hardcore if you want a challenge.

Any scientist worth their salt can and will back up their claims with observations, show how it was controlled for and explain how they assert their margin of error. Part of what makes science great is that you can and should have back and forths to air potential vulnerabilities and show how they either don't apply or don't matter.

Give me a break dude. We're talking about science deniers here and you're acting like they have something to add to science. No, they're all useless bad faith actors and their only goal in debating is to cast doubt on the science that they perceive as conflicting with their own worldview. The only value in debating them is to allow them to demonstrate how insane they are. The back and forth you're talking about should be between scientists or science communicators and the general public. Science deniers can go bury their heads in the sand.

Traditional ideals and religious authority are two fundamental hallmarks of conservatism in America as far as I can tell. This tells me that if you're a conservative many of your positions are decided in advance based on tradition and authority and you're going to attempt to logic and reason your way there later. That's antithetical to freethought.

When people like that debate they don't like introducing evidence and data into the discussion. They think it can be settled purely through rhetoric, so really they're more interested in "winning" the debate than being right.

Raised by Wolves season 2 just started. It's created by Ridley Scott and stars Travis Fimmel, the guy who played Ragnar in Vikings. The first season wasn't great but it was interesting enough to keep me engaged, so I'll probably watch this now.

There was a Ray Donovan movie, I mention because they left it open to carry on with Bridgett more involved with the family business.

I hated it. It was supposed to be a full season to wrap up the show, but Showtime blindsided everyone by cancelling it. A full season would have made sense, but the movie didn't make much sense to me. Especially the Bridget stuff towards the end, if you know what I mean.
