alright time for game 2 in my chronological playthrough of the borderlands series

yeah yeah i know that overall it's after 2, but the actual gameplay part of the game is before 2.

Gonna play Athena, probably an elemental build like i did in Borderlands 1. If that's even a thing.

I did look into the DLC characters cuz I do have them, but they look kinda like they were more based around team play. And I have no friends.

EDIT: I know in Borderlands 2 there was the Cult of the Vault challenges for finding the hidden vault symbols. Anything dumb like that in this one? And should I bother doing it?

For having a class mod that gives me bonuses to SMGs i'm using a lot of revolvers.

mostly cuz that's ALL I'VE BEEN FINDING.

i have shock, corrosive, and incendiary revolvers, and a random purple SMG i found.

How much should I care about the "Braaains" missions in Zombie Island?

Apparently all the brains i've collected up until unlocking the missions don't frigging count so i'm actually kinda upset about that, cuz I think i've gathered like 200 or something

i wear it if i'm in a building or crowded place, but not if i'm just walking around.

i have bought nudes in the past.

no real desire to do so again.

Skip the Moxxi DLC and play the others. I really like the zombie dlc personally.

which one is the moxxi dlc? is that the underdome one?

I beat the main game. Do I bother with the dlc or just go to the Pre-Sequel?

BL1 was super fun, and I've never had the problem of being underleveled and the quests being too high leveled, that legit only happened in Pre-sequel

there's a bit in Fyrestone where if you haven't been grinding you're around 9-10 and the quests are 12-13.

namely the one to kill the dude who broke the Catch-a-Ride station.

i did have to grind a bit in Skag Gully, but I haven't had a problem since leaving Fyrestone

i have tweaked several settings so hopefully game performance improves

i killed the boss of the Salt Flats but as soon as i entered the Flats, i started having really massive framerate issues.

not sure if it's just because of the extended play session or if something is buggy in that zone

i'm just doing a story playthrough for now

i'll think about doing ng+ modes for the ones i decide i like

I don't plan on doing whatever the NG+ is, just get through the story and dlcs

My biggest advice to any new BL player is to skip the normal playthrough and start at level 30 for the second playthrough. All these games feel like total ass before you can actually have a build, and you can respec any time for basically nothing in all these games, so you don't need to worry too much about having a bad build.

how do you do that?

A heads-up.
You'll eventually encounter enemies called Spiderants. These have a very strong carapace, but a weak abdomen. Or in other words, their head is like a big shield for their squishy butt.
You'll be wasting ammo shooting at their head, and circling around to their backside is hard as the buggers are frustratingly agile.
However... They can be very easily stunned with corrosive weapons. When they're stunned, they turn sideways and expose their soft body to your preferred choice of attack.

so corrosive them up and then shoot them with this ridiculous elephant gun i have?

alright i have a corrosive shotgun and revolver, a sniper rifle with iron sights but ridiculous damage, and sledge's shotgun, which is a war crime.

oh hey the SMG i got from a quest is a KKA22 Double Anarchy.

which is weird because the quest was for a Combat Rifle

well, the less humans on the planet, theoretically the less we can fuck it up

we did have a tornado warning yesterday, but from all reports i don't think there actually was one.

i'm gonna go with i'm just fucked.

the only reason i know my banking service is down is because i thought my phone got disconnected cuz i'm a couple weeks behind on the bill, so i went to pay it and my card kept getting declined.

and then i went into the bank to ask them about it and they were like 'nothing's wrong with your card or account, lots of people are experiencing problems.'

and then i checked on the phone services and everything including their website is down
