I didn't care for the game, or it's ending, so I just went with what made the most sense to me - spare the uncle since Jin's name was tarnished (in the noble, samurai sense), and the island needed a legitimate leader who could work with the mainland.Sure but Lord Shimura as a legit samurai would see his failure to defeat the ghost as humiliation and the sparing of his life as a great dishonor. It would crush him. Even though it's pragmatically the right call and ethically the right call (by western morality) by the emotion and culute of the time, it was kicking Shimura in the balls and completely disregarding the last shred of respect to Samurai culture that meant everything to Shimura. And the game had done a good job explaining how much Shimura meant to you and how much the Samurai culture meant to Shimura. I liked it. It's not a "good" and "bad" ending it's about where you, the player, place your values. I think in some cases they spend a whole day talking about why a dude is qualified to say what they are going to say Do have any quotes or video of what she said? I find it hard to believe she took to stand and said women can't abuse men and women "can't help it." And for the record it is absolutely undeniably true that sometimes in mutually abusive couples one side reacted to the other. I've had first hand experience witnessing some of them. One in particular that sprung to mind was when a guy I know was cheating on his wife and wanted to divorce but wanted the kids and knew if he filed for divorce and it got out that he was cheating, he'd never get them. So he intentionally emotionally abused and smothered her and argued with her and pissed her off constantly until she had enough and punched him. He even pressured her constantly to quit her job all while secretly planning to dump her because he knew her position would be weaker if she was fighting a custody battle while unemployed. Then he filed for divorce claiming domestic violence as the cause and tried to take the kids. He only didn't get them because the kids all piped up that the dad was a lying psycho and they wanted to stay with the mom. Before someone jumps down my throat with enough Strawman to cover the entire Yellow Brick Road to Oz, I'm not saying this is the case with Depp/Heard. I'm saying this can happen and I suspect a professional is saying that. I find it hard to believe a professional on the stand is saying what TC is implying.
