This thread reminds me of a comedian I saw on Comedy Central back in the early/mid-2000s that was this southern guy with an accent, and made this joke about how if you're a guy and you have a cat, you're either married, or you're gay. And he was describing a scene with said cat-owner having some friends over and being like, "Well guys, I'm gonna go put on some lipstick."

Same price, same seller. I assume we're not seeing the same Wii remotes in both auctions, so this person must have a fucking ton of these things. I'm guessing someone who owned a small used games store and trying to get rid of the Wii remotes that piled up over the years, but never sold.

You could entomb someone in this much. Or use them as throwing weapons and never run out. If Wii remotes were a form of currency, we'd be looking at stacks of gold bars. What would you use all these for? This person's never getting rid of all these.

That's actually a theory some people have. That in the future, maybe some alien race figures out a way to revive a specimen or lifeform to perfect condition with our memories intact, and some of us end up having the happen to them. Basically, some of us might already have that happen to us and we just don't know it yet.

I want to get a graphics card capable of running VR, but when I look at sales for graphics cards, I have no idea if it's good, or bad, or what.

This. Back when Diamond and Pearl first came out, it seemed to me that the story just copied Ruby & Sapphire, and when people were praising Diamond & Pearl for doing something new with the Pokmon story, it was like, "Tell me you skipped gen 3 without telling me you skipped gen 3."

For using class skills on another class, if you master a class tree entirely, you'll be able to use that class's weapons, associated Arts, and Skills with other classes. That way you can completely customize what kind of character you want.

That's perfect. Core Crusher for example, looked great, but I wanted to be able to use it on the Forcer path.

Both the Japanese PSN and eShop stores are a lot more expensive than a usual $60 seen in the US, and the only time it dips down to "normal" prices for us is when they have a sale. I'm sort of considering it though, since my tax return is about to come in.

Would definitely not recommend following a guide that recommends specifics like levels, progression order, where to go, etc. for a game like this. Sounds absolutely terrible since the game is designed to be non-linear and have no right way to progress. A guide that tells you where to find specific monsters or items, what abilities are available, explains mechanics in detail like the damage formula, or in general works as a resource rather than a set of instructions would be fine.

You can change the look of your character later on, but if you literally just started you might want to just restart.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting my character to pull out an assault rifle. After sampling XB1 and XB2, seeing an assault rifle was a nice refreshing sci-fi change of pace.

Physical version. I thought the used copy I got just didn't have the instruction manual, which disappointed me. But after taking a look at more pictures of the physical version, it looks like even Japan just got a single piece of paper as their "instruction manual". Nothing missing, because it was never there in the first place.

Is it possible to play online with people in other regions? Or is online stuff region-locked?

Great game, even if the main story is incomplete. It badly needs a Switch port or sequel.

Yeah, Miiverse was shut down in late 2017, so games that used it are no longer able to do so.

As far as I know, aside from the Miiverse features, the online functionality is still working.

I don't know how many people are still playing it, though. Two of the superbosses are connected with completing squad tasks, and then teaming up to fight the Global Nemesis when they appear. Back in the day, it was quite frequent due to how many people were playing, but now, I'm guessing that it's a slow burn.

Glad to know the online functionality is still active. And you can actually play with other people in real-time? I thought it was more of a "summon ally" thing. That's pretty cool. Might end up having to look for people to team up with...

I remember seeing the trailers for this game back when the Wii U was first announced and thinking the open world looked amazing. I just never got around to getting the game back when the Wii U was still relevant.

1) Learn how probes work and set them up. There's a mandatory quest that introduces you to them. This is where all of your money and miranium comes from, so it's ridiculously important to do and do right.
2) The game presents you with three field skills you can upgrade, but maxing Mechanical first is just the correct choice and there's not much argument otherwise. It's necessary to set up certain probes which both apply to the above and act as fast travel.
3) The defense stat basically doesn't do anything. Resistances on armor are why you wear it and make a ridiculous difference, and later on, skills matter too. Enemies in an area tend to use the same attack elements, so buying light armor that resists that element is a big help.

Got it. Probes are important, learn them. Max out Mechanical. Don't worry about defense, keep an eye out for resistances on armor. Thanks.

I would have said Fatal Frame 4, but that recently got a re-release on modern consoles. Still want to get it though, since I think you can use the GamePad for it. There's Kirby and the Rainbow Brush, the NES Remix games, and StarFox Zero, just off the top of my head.

You've got yourself an amazing game, and it was my first experience with Xenoblade -- alas the others are not as similar as Xenoblade Chronicles X you'd hope.

I've played a little of Xenoblade 1 on the Wii, and a bit of Xenoblade 2 on the Switch, so I have some minimal experience. I'm just playing in a very weird order. ^^; The biggest draw for me are those awesome-looking mechs.

I heard that there were some online features that might still be in service. Not directly related to the Miiverse, but I guess XBX's own online servers are still up? Something about using other peoples' characters? Can anyone confirm?

Why is Blizzard in general so shit at designing stuff for PCs? I thought this company was supposed to be knowledgeable with PCs.

First problem: battle.net wouldn't allow for installation on a different hard drive. It defaults to C:\ and gives no option to install to a different location, unlike every other game I've ever installed. I have absolutely no space left on C:\, so that's kind of a problem trying to put anything on there.

Then I tried to install StarCraft 2, which seemed to install okay, but after trying to run it, it needs to update for some reason, then claims I have no free space to do that with. I uninstalled StarCraft 2, and now I'm trying to re-install it, but all I get is the "update" option, like as though SC2 is still installed, which it isn't. I have 30GB of free space now, thanks to uninstalling to SC2, but for some reason, I can't re-install it. And when I do try to install it again, I again choose my alternative drive, which worked before, but now battle.net is saying there isn't enough free space, when apparently there was enough before. I think what's happening is that I'm telling it to install to D:\, but it just ignores that and looks at the free space on C:\.

This thing is such an awfully designed clusterfuck. Jesus Christ, fuck this battle.net app, just let me install where I want it to, and don't have a glitchy fucking app tell me there isn't enough free space when there clearly is.
