My first thought is that I dont like Sultans 1st post.
He was in Chris' role madness mafia. He should know what thats like. Calling it rough even with a simple game in between comes across as a forced statement

This is far more complicated than just a role maddess game; with Items and Shops also at play on top of Role maddess. Yeah I stand by my statement this is rough in comparison.

This is true in my very first game I hosted the WWE Mzero was Miz Miller..

This actually started my hatred of the role I used it and didnt like it..
I've been it I didnt like it.
I've seen it in other games still don't like it.

You can say they are dumb. Saying you wont use a basic role that foils a common scanning role limits claim options.

So yeah. You shouldn't host.

You can use other roles thar serve the same purpose that are more fun but thst is merely an option

i'm back on the FAQs after a very lengthy absence, spent my time on an offsite board, i played a bunch on Epic Mafia back about 10 years ago so I know the basics of the game but I expect this to be a fairly different experience for me.

i don't really have thoughts on the miller claim, the justification for it makes sense to me. i didn't like this post though:

feels like he's waffling back and forth a lot to seem like he's being thoughtful but not actually saying a lot. i also think the conclusion is unnatural - "i think he's a good player so he wouldn't fakeclaim miller"? wouldn't a good player be more likely to make a bold play like that?

I hate millers... like I think I way over think the claims out the gate but it makes sense. I was a Miller one of my first games didnt claim and got insta murdered so It makes sense but it is also a convenient claim for scum.. has Kirby been scum yet??

However I do think Kirby is a good player and probably wouldn't do that

I didn't see anyone say anything like that in any games with Crescent (haven't seen all of them but have seen her explode on me, Corrik, and Scare for dumb stuff with no specific sexist comments identified) and I'll say that not only do I think I was being very reasonable to her and keeping every bit of pressure applied on an in game level but that I was also entirely gender neutral about it (this is not difficult, if I was anything resembling misogynist I would not have my job as like 80% of my clients are women) and she still used that card which implies to me it's a defense mechanism more than any sort of reality.

That's not an accusation I take lightly and it makes me want to avoid interacting with her to avoid it, so I don't really want to play with her because what if I need to interact in the game. Needing to play with total kiddie gloves or avoid lest you be accused of something vile is not a fun game.

Like I said I honestly can't remember who it was who said that. But either way

That's a pretty popular opinion in the wide world of mafia. Bringing up mental health issues in a game of cunning and deception is just uncomfortable for everyone.

It's one thing to go 'I am not feeling great, so I am going to be more sluggish this game' and another to bring up certain things in key moments.

Right but generally if it is that bad or they use it "as a crutch" the moderator should just be like hey im replacing you out worry about you not the game

Yeah replacing them out would work too punishing their team for them being an ass isnt nessisarily fair.

I feel we need a 0 tolerance policy for some things.
1. Sexisum
2. Racism (havent seen it but still not a good look)
3. Insulting mental health
4. Telling people to kill themselves or anything like that.
5. Being an over aggressive dick/Bullying

If it happens 1 time modkill
Happens a 2nd time a year ban
Happens a 3rd time lifetime ban.

Set this as the standard to show this is a welcoming community. These are not things that should be said and set as rules but, these are the things that scare people away, reasons why people don't come back ect.

I have never had a problem with moon and I think she is actually a pretty good player.

No need to be mean to each other. It is a game. But I will say if you are legit having issues with your mental health in a game replace out worry about you who cares.

I like ulti most of the time I think I was one of the people who welcomed him back. My view Ulti can be a flavor sometimes dont take him to seriously.

Just a message in general be nicer to each other, this is a game that is meant to be fun. Id welcome any man or woman or trans or whatever you wanna be come play i am not sure why there is animosity here
