I recognize how good this game is, and how it could be someone's favorite game ever, but it just doesn't click with me like it does for others. I think it might just be the psychological horror genre in general.

Made it to the hospital. This might be the single greatest upgrade in visual fidelity from one entry of a series to another, it's absolutely unreal. The apartment complex was also much better-designed than the school in SH1, and the atmosphere is about 5 billion times more oppressive. Pyramid Head is great so far, although boss fights are as clunky as ever. Game is substantially easier than 1, though, because not a single enemy has had the ability to grab me so far, so I can just run straight by them with no consequences.

1 down, 17 to go.
