At the time it was probably pretty controversial among the people who actually knew who Batman was, given that back then the comic was still a pretty dark noir series and Adam West Batman has been seen by many as practically killing the brand for like a decade.

The comics had been pretty campy for years when the TV show came out. But the show did popularize the silly aspects to the point of them discontinuing ising The Joker for almost 5 years

Yeah, the immediate consensus was basically "well, it can't be worse than the last one", and Patrick Bateman playing him indicated it would be somewhat dark.

I have to say, I rode Rise of the Resistance the other day, and it was incredible. It really makes me want to like the ST more. Definitely the best thing to come out of it

Kirk Baily -- best known for his role as Kevin "Ug" Lee in the Nickelodeon sitcom "Salute Your Shorts" -- has died.

Kirk's family tells TMZ the actor died over the weekend. We're told he died from lung cancer ... and had only been diagnosed 6 months ago.

Early in his career, Kirk studied comedy at Groundlings and Second City. He got his start as a sound coordinator on the cult classic film "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" before getting acting roles, including "3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain" and "The Sixth Man."

He also landed a number of guest roles on shows such as "Felicity," "Sisters," and "NYPD Blue." Recently, Kirk has worked primarily as a voice artist on a number of anime shows and video games, including "Cowboy Bebop," "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" and ".hack//."

Most notably, he played Kevin "Ug' Lee in Nickelodeon's "Salute Your Shorts" in 1991 and 1992.

In 2019, the cast had a reunion in Hollywood at the Good Burger pop-up shop. He remained close friends with most of the cast members and production staff.

He worked up until the last few months of his life, loving his career until the end.
Kirk was 59.

XV legitimately got me going. It was brilliant to use the photo system that way. How it recapped our whole journey and all that...man, I got some chills just thinking about it. Too bad the rest of the story was so bare-bones leading up to it.

Yeah, XV's could be a contender of one of the greatest bittersweet endings of any game, but man, the plot not really gaining any momentum until like 80% into the game really takes the wind out of it

No. I like and prefer when they list how much was played, but given the time crunch and the fact that they HAVE to play a game for work, I would prefer they go at their own pace and get the gist of as much as they can
