Nearly half of men say they would refuse to take a male contraceptive pill if one became available, according to a new poll.

In recent years there have been calls for a male version of the pill and British scientists began trials of a contraceptive gel in 2019.

In previous surveys, women have pledged support for a male contraceptive but admitted they wouldnt trust men to take it.

In the new study of 1,000 men by Lloyds Pharmacy, only 42 per cent said they would be happy to do so.

About a third of women take the oral contraceptive pill, which prevents ovulation and is the most popular form of female birth control.

However, they have been linked with side effects ranging from weight gain and skin problems to blood clots and an increased risk of breast cancer.

Currently, contraceptives available to men are condoms, or a vasectomy, in which the tubes that carry sperm out of the testicles are surgically severed and tied off.

The male contraceptive currently being studied by University of Manchester scientists uses a hormone which switches off sperm production in the testicles.
Some results are expected next year.

It's not cheap, but I still like going to the theatre 3-4 times a year. I joined like a rewards club which helps at the concession stand and go to matinees so there's less of a bite.

I just like the experience.

That said, the experience is increasingly being ruined by people who just don't know how to act in public. Like STFU and keep your smartphone in your pocket asshole.

A federal class action lawsuit filed by two former inmates accuses Grainger County corrections officers of oppression, sexual abuse, coercion, and intimidation for allegedly forcing female inmates to strip naked and participate in forced-sex acts.

Jailer Travis Hank Davis was terminated on April 24, 2021 for violating Code of Ethics, officer misconduct, and abusing his position, the lawsuit claims. An attorney representing the women says his clients are traumatized.

The civil rights class action lawsuit, filed April 12, names Grainger County Sheriff James Harville, Jail Administrator Chris Harville, and corrections officers Travis Davis and Leonard Dalton as defendants, along with Grainger County.

In the lawsuit, plaintiffs claim 8 violations of their rights under the Fourth (unreasonable search), Eighth (cruel and unusual punishment), and Fourteenth (right to bodily privacy and freedom from bodily intrusion) Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, and violations of Tennessee statutory and common law.

Davis is accused of repeatedly forcing female inmates, including the plaintiffs, to perform various sex acts on each other while he watched and masturbated within the confines of the control room of the Grainger County Jail. The shows occurred within the female inmate pod with Davis allegedly orchestrating, announcing and directing using the jails intercom or loud-speaker system, the lawsuit states.

Sheriff Harville and Jail Administrator Harville failed to investigate, discipline, question or stop Officer Daviss horrific sexual abuse and degradation of female inmates until approximately April 24, 2021, when he was eventually fired, the lawsuit states.

The plaintiffs said complaints were made to other correctional officers but to no avail, and transfer requests were ignored or denied, leading them to perceive that Davis was untouchable. The lawsuit alleged that a correctional officer told the women to contact an attorney on their own time.

The former inmates claim that a residence request report asking if they could be moved was eventually met with the reply, How good have you been?

The lawsuit also states that the shows were hardly a secret in the Jail.

The lawsuit filed in the Northeastern Division of the Eastern District of Tennessee claims that Davis brought lighters for their cigarettes a few days after they were booked into the jail. Over time, the lawsuit claims that Davis became verbally sexually aggressive toward the plaintiffs.

For example, he [Davis] remarked that he pictured their faces instead of his wifes when he and his wife were having sexual relations the night before, or asked them to describe their breasts and genitalia, the lawsuit claims.

In February and early March 2021, the lawsuit claims Davis began using the control rooms intercom to make inappropriate remarks about female inmates bodies. The lawsuit claims Davis using his position of authority to intimidate the inmates.

Other officers became suspicious after seeing a stack of milk crates on the control room floor, the lawsuit states. Inmates claim that the view from the control room of Cell #5 was obstructed and so Davis used the milk crates to stand on.

Grainger County Sheriffs Office detectives visited the jail in late April 2021 and spoke with the plaintiffs separately about an investigation concerning Davis. Davis was fired days later.

Plaintiffs and the class that includes female inmates housed in the Grainger County Jail from May 2020 until April 2022, are asking the court to award damages of $15.5 million and court costs. A jury trial is demanded.

A 31-year-old Florida man was arrested after officers found a lot more than what they bargained for while conducting a traffic stop two guns, multiple syringes loaded with meth and a baby alligator.

n a Facebook post, the Collier County Sheriff's office in Naples said deputies pulled over a black GMC Sierra pickup Friday after they recognized the driver from previous encounters as having a suspended license.

Officers found the live baby alligator in a plastic tub in the bed of the truck. They also located two firearms inside the pickup -- one was allegedly concealed in the glove box and the other was allegedly hidden under the front passenger seat.

The front-seat passenger, Michael Marolla, was arrested and charged him with two counts of carrying a concealed firearm.

He also faces charges of possession of a controlled substance after the sheriff's office said deputies found multiple loaded syringes in Marolla's jacket. The syringes tested positive for methamphetamine, officials said.

Deputies notified the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission about the alligator. The sheriff's office said wildlife officers responded to investigate but did not release any more details about the alligator.

In 2020, Florida authorities tracking a stolen car also discovered a baby alligator, along with guns, heroin and cocaine.

It is illegal to own an alligator in Florida unless authorized by the state's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

An Australian man nearly lost part of his penis after errant public hair ensnared the tip and cut off its circulation like a grotesque garrote.

We describe an unusual case in an adult resulting in erosion of the urethra, read a Urology Case Reports study detailing the poor souls phallic asphyxiation.

He specifically suffered from hair tourniquet syndrome, in which hair or thread becomes tightly tangled around the genitals, fingers and other extremities. Generally affecting children, the affliction can cut off the blood flow, requiring patients to undergo surgery and even amputation.

The 57-year-old Geelong native, who was reportedly uncircumcised, had reported to a family doctor after suffering extreme pain and swelling of his glans the scientific term for the penis tip for two weeks. However, medics didnt notice the culprit, as they didnt check under the hood, thereby allowing his symptoms to worsen.

After steroids failed to alleviate his agony, the patient was referred to Geelong University Hospital.

There, an examination of the foreskin revealed the source of his pain to be a complex hair tourniquet of short, matted hairs that had horrifyingly encircled the area beneath the glans like a miniature choker, per the study.

Doctors speculated that the pubic hair collected under the foreskin and after significant accumulation and time the single strands matted together forming a tight ring.

In fact, the tallywacker tourniquet was so constricting that it had compressed the member down to 1 centimeter in diameter. It also completely divided his urethra, per the study.

Experts believe that the freak accident was caused by the man neglecting to clean the region properly.

The reality is that this couldve been avoided if the patient were to be undertaking suitable penile hygiene and washing beneath his foreskin regularly, Dr. Rich Viney, a British urologist, told the Daily Mail.

Its unclear why the patient let things deteriorate to that point; however, he was described in the study as an unkempt gentleman who suffered from anxiety and depression. In addition, the patient had no fixed address and reportedly bounced between the homes of his friends and family.

The reality is that this couldve been avoided if the patient were to be undertaking suitable penile hygiene and washing beneath his foreskin regularly, said one doctor.

Fearing irreparable damage to the mans penis, doctors snipped the obstructing hair and prepared to carry out an operation to save the remaining tissue. They then informed the patient that he could potentially lose part of his member if the wounds didnt heal properly.

Alarmed at the possible side effect, the distraught patient fled from the hospital whereupon doctors couldnt reach him, as he possessed no phone.

Fortunately, the patient returned to the hospital two days later, of his own volition, and doctors reattached the tube and inserted a permanent catheter so he could urinate.

The man then left the hospital after a day, defying the advice of doctors, who prescribed him bath salts and antibiotics. All told, he wound up returning and leaving a total of four times, with doctors forced to repair the damage sustained each time.

Despite his lack of cooperation, doctors managed to repair the urethra and he could urinate again on his own, without undergoing any further surgeries; although, he was left with a deformity under his glans. Doctors also circumcised the patient to prevent any future penile entanglements.

Ultimately, the study authors chalked up the fiasco to the challenges in post-operative care in patients with significant anxiety issues, poor health literacy and no fixed abode.

This isnt the first instance of manhood strangulation. In July, an Illinois man with dementia was hospitalized after binding his genitals with rubber bands until his penis began to rot.
