Eh babies aren't as expensive as a lot of people think. I think kids get more and more expensive as they get older though. Helps that my wife works too. She makes less than me but between the two of us we're over 100k. We live semi comfortably but yeah cost of living nowadays is outrageous.

Gotta say I'm jealous of some of my friends mortgages though. They were lucky enough to buy a house before it became a rich persons game. We were set to buy basically right before the market exploded now we're stuck waiting and renting paying 1700 a month because rent is outrageous too. 250 to 275k anywhere remotely near the city I live basically only gets you a barely liveable fucking shack

But between work and having a two year old, I get very little free time so that kinda sucks too. It takes me forever to finish games or shows anymore

Things are pretty good right now but I always find a way to not be content. I'm the kinda person that's never satisfied so even after I achieve something I've been working on, I find some other thing to stress myself endlessly over. Just got a decent raise at my job and now I'm just like "still not enough need to be making at least 100k so I can really enjoy life and support my family without worry."

But I've learned a lot at my position and I'm gonna start looking at other jobs to see if I can get a big salary increase elsewhere. I've always heard changing jobs somewhat frequently is the best way to make more money

I don't know if I ever really fully had this "finding myself" time but I guess my early to mid 20s is the closest time frame to that

Not metroid prime 4 lol. I honestly feel kinda swindled with MP4. They announced that shit like 5-6 years ago and have basically provided zero updates other than it being delayed which was several years ago now. MP4 was like 25% of the reason I bought a switch

Yeah I gave up on 343 a while back which is why I haven't even really tried this game. It's honestly mind boggling that they weren't fired after the MCC travesty

And damn... game is alright I guess but the multiplayer menu screen has some solid post rock jams. I'm just sitting on the couch jamming out to this instead of playing

I'll counter with cleaning litterboxes and constant vomiting on the floor. And then one of our cats for some reason has a ritual where she meows loudly over and over again in the middle of the night. It's her hunting ritual. She grabs a stuffed animal in her mouth and brings it to us while meowing loudly at 3 am

Years ago? I remember at one point wanting to fly to Japan to beat up every single person involved in the making of FFVIII. And I occasionally wanted to shank some of the level designers from early Assassins' Creed games for some of their puzzle dungeons.

I suppose if I had a time machine I might be willing to go back and find the guys who invented microtransactions and NFTs and just murder them in their sleep.

Almost all games really suck now yeah. On top of that, they take longer to make. So we have to wait even longer just to receive high fidelity garbage
