Yeah this has clearly been coming for a while regardless of the details. In the first one he even said its been as long as nine years that hes been thinking about it which lines up with what he said shortly after Ryan passed, that they had been talking about doing something else. I will say, if Jeff had left shortly after the relaunch or a few weeks before it, theres a good chance it would have killed the site. They really needed to go from one thing to the other straight away if they were going to survive. You can look at the way things went after the Nextlander split to see this, they took far too long to reboot and didnt have a clear vision. By contrast this has obviously worked, the sites the healthiest its been since before the pandemic. Not to justify anything that did or didnt happen to Jeff of course, just to say that the way the site shifted so rapidly after he left was very necessary.

Its a strange one because the writing is terrible but the characters manage to be more likeable and it really pulls off your choices shaping the narrative in a way that none of the other David Cage games have.

Mortal Kombat, although its weird because 8 is MKvDC, and they eventually went back to numbers.

Also, in the case of God of War, people refer to both Ascension and God of War 2018 as 4 which is hilarious.

I think the Starfield showcase definitely ended a lot stronger than it started with the flying and highlighting all of the environments. It looks a lot more varied than Fallout, and you would hope Xboxs oversight would mean fewer bugs. Its also going to be on GamePass day one. So it is a very good proposition combat aside.

Well in the case of Fallout the combat is very different from The Elder Scrolls combat as is the traversal. Starfield seems to have very similar combat to Fallout.

Well Starfield certainly looks like a BGS game.

Well see how the Direct does because those usually got the biggest numbers and often get huge viewership figures outside E3 but it hasnt even been formally announced yet!

Also viewership seems kind of low? 300k on the main channels between Youtube and Twitch. Didnt these used to go over a million? Not counting all the mirrors of course.

Well Scorn still looks gross, also I am reminded that it was originally scheduled to be a launch game.
