The combat and visuals are the best part. But there's stuff with the presentation that turned me off pretty quickly. I couldn't finish it

GTAV is great. Never touched online, but it's the best to mess around with.

It was hilarious how Oliver Stone had a shit fit over the ending saying it was too over the top and unrealistic and ruined it, and not even recognizing how much of the rest of the show is

It's just like Dishonored with Borderlands-type loot and four massive areas. You have four different levels and four different times of day, that change based on what time it is.

Time doesn't pass in game, but you basically "scout" levels, then go back to base when you're done and wait until noon/afternoon/evening and look around some more. They're not randomly generated like roguelikes, but are exactly the same, and most of the stuff you collect can be saved for future attempts.

You follow lore and basic objectives, and in the process, learn more about the targets and their habits, and the object is to kill all of them in one day

It takes a while to get used to what you're doing, but after I realize certain paterns and when I got a decent arsenal, I was hooked until the end. And it's nothing like a roguelike.
