i was in a grocery store parking lot yesterday and a dude in a lifted truck took like 10 minutes to slowly back out of a parking space like he was trapped in that scene from austin powers with the luggage cart in the hallway, if they have to back in to avoid doing that then i will suffer them taking an extra 20 seconds to back into a parking space

i also think its interesting that going inside of lavos' shell seems to reveal that the exterior is almost like a biomechanical ship or machine of some kind and at least part of its core is a weird little dude in a spacesuit

Lavos ate the planet so it could grow and reproduce. It would send out Lavos spawn to other planets. It basically lived on instinct like an animal or a tapeworm.

Lavos manipulated the course of human history in order to make the planet a better meal for itself, I don't think it's accurate to call it on the level of an animal. Chrono Cross basically confirms this because in that Lavos actively has a plan to use Schala and the Dragon God to resume where it left off

i havent gotten one in a long time but every time I ever got one just in the normal tin bowls they came kind of dry and nasty and I just wished I took the time to make pasta myself

One time I did get it in a bread bowl and that was the one time it tasted pretty good, but it was WAY too much to eat and it didnt keep well in the fridge at all for reheating

One of the big themes of ds3 is that time and reality has sort of eroded over time with each perpetuation of the first flame until it finally has begun to fall inwards into itself. You see a glimpse of it when you go to the kiln and you full of get to see the far flung end of time in the ringed city dlc where the world has degraded so deeply that it's all mashed together in a chaotic jumble (and then at the very end when you meet Gael it's degraded to the point that there's nothing but a wasteland where people are murdering each like primal beasts no better than Manus)

The alternate untended graves feels like a piece of that. It's a version of the world we know that's at the same time somehow from another place and another time that's dangling off of the world like a hangnail. It shouldn't be there but reality is eroding so deeply that it's gone beyond the state of things as they were in dark souls 1 where you were just paradoxically running into dead heroes from other worlds out of their own time and entire places that shouldn't have been or never were are now accessible

miyamoto seems to have a reputation for squashing projects, im sure they have developed avoidance strats

twin snakes has worse voice acting than the original and thats not arguable. half the cast in twin snakes, especially david hayter and paul eiding, sound like they're half asleep throughout all of twin snakes. i also dislike naomi and meiling losing their accents and getting very generic VAs

the other stuff is whatever. the mgs2 gameplay additions are fun despite making the game feel pretty easy and i don't have a problem with the dopey john woo cutscene shit because it's funny, but mgs as it was originally presented is very simplistic and enjoyable even without random things like fps aiming

wind waker has a better worlds map than twilight princess and skyward sword

that spaceworld thing with the smash bros melee looking character models swordfighting looks so unbelievably scuffed nowadays whereas wind waker's art has held up better than 90% of other games from that console generation

they made the right decision with wind waker
