One of my problems with V/H/S though is that barely any of it looks analog, only the final segment and the wrap-around. The rest looks low-rent digital which defeats the point of the premise. Imagine if the WNUF Halloween Special looked digital, it would be just as bad an idea.

Yeah, this as well. I was confused through much of it because it defeats the point of the premise.

I disliked so many of them that outside of the last segment, which is the only one I liked all that much, it's probably the one after that I disliked the least. Nothing really happens in it but it's not nearly as obnoxious as most of them and you can actually see what's happening in it.

Yeah, he at least gets a couple moments. I thought Paulson and Rhodes were wasted even more. Paulson hardly gets a scene or two in the thing and Rhodes has next to no characterization. Huge wastes.

Lol. Sorry, got caught up with some NBA playoffs. Will finish up the last couple tonight though.

Have a short write-up for most of them now, so I should finish them sometime tonight and email it over.

I'm also pretty sure that a couple of films on the lower end of my ranking will probably be pretty popular and I haven't even submitted yet. Though if any of the bottom 3 on my list are in the top 6 of someone else's list then you need to find Jesus smh

I should finish the write-ups tomorrow. I wanted to actually write something decent for them but it's been a pretty exhausting week so I'll just stick to quick paragraphs and overall feelings about them. Plus, I find it easier to write about the films I hated and there aren't a whole lot of those left to write about.

I've seen everything I just need to finish write-ups for them.

Both are actually fine. Saying "chomping at the bit" has largely gained traction in modern day usage just because people tend not to use the verb champ anymore and chomping has become an alternative that doesn't lose any meaning in its usage. It isn't really the same as mistakenly saying "tow the line" instead of "toe the line" for example, since the words in that mistaken idiom are totally different.

Also, Democrats could've and should've and promised to codify abortion rights into law during Obama's first term, but he decided not to do it so as not to upset some anti-abortion members of the party. Can't give up that crucial campaign issue by permanently solving it, can we? Think of the fundraising that occurs, and will occur especially now, when abortion rights are at stake. No politician wants to lose those dollars.

The real reason Democrats didn't codify abortion rights is because it's a single issue voting tool and they would lose it as campaign contribution funding leverage.

They're both self aware and use that to mine some comedy, it's just the second one is probably sillier about it.

justwatch.com is a great resource to find out where some of them are streaming. They're usually pretty up to date, if anyone is looking for ways to see some of the stuff on the list.

I have about 5 I think left, though I may try and squeeze in some rewatches on stuff that I haven't seen for a while or need to split a close/tie ranking.

Don't mind me. I'm just compiling a list of horror films for when I finish the Big 30.

Upgrade (2018) is a must-watch as well.

And I've been saying for years that Joker (2019) would be considered a horror movie if it wasn't associated with superheroes.

Yeah, Upgrade is pretty cool and it was interesting to see Leigh Whannell utilize some similar immersive camera techniques in his Invisible Man movie as well.

Other relatively recent horror (or horror related) that didn't show up on this watchlist that could help fill out another list.
