On topic: I can see this being chalked up to bullying, but sexual harassment is a stretch. At my job if you dont refer to someone by their appropriate pronouns, you have to go to mandatory sensitivity training. If it continues, depending on the context, youll go up for review and could be suspended or fired.

Its not even connected to sexual harassment cases, which depending on context can lead to immediate firing and the police being called.

I think the school is cheapening public perception of actual harassment cases by grouping this in with that.

I think that's a fair point, however the article doesn't really go into much detail about context. We're basically only getting the story from one of the accused kids mom. It's possible that the misgendering was being done as part of sexually harassing the other student

If they're intentionally misgendering another student, much like the kid's mom is doing in this article, then obviously that's something the school needs to address.

Also the fact that this kid jumped straight to saying it's his constitutional right tells me he's almost certainly following his parents' lead here

This reminds me, the other day I was playing RDR2, and was just strolling around Saint Denis when I saw a cat. I went over to talk to the cat, and then entered photo mode and spent about 10 minutes finding the perfect angle to capture a cool image of Arthur talking to the cat. After I took the photo, I exited photo mode and accidentally hit the B button, which caused Arthur to kick that cat right in the face. A lady nearby gasped. The cat did not get back up. I felt so bad I reloaded and checked to see if the cat was back (it wasn't)

I don't even like shooting innocent adults in games. Unless Im testing boundaries of the game. I wouldn't shoot a kid by any means tho. I feel like Id emotional feel it if I hit one in cross fire. Just cause the stories I know of that actually happening. Grown ups, we're all pretty desensitized to.
