So as I near the end of this game, I decided to go to my storage locker and dig out my Wii U so I can play X again. I don't know if that's a referendum on this game or I'm enjoying this game enough that it wants me to play more Xenoblade. I don't have any hope for an X remastering so I figure I'll just play the Wii U version.

Headcanon Rex is getting cucked and none are his.

Like to be honest, the fact that in X you can actually sprint and it's not a feature in a single other Xenoblade game is a fucking travesty.

X gives you Skells which fucking rule.

X is still the best in the series and starting Chapter 6 I doubt that's gonna change. But like, I've enjoyed what I've played so it's a solid B.

I definitely very much like the story and characters of 1, but I absolutely adore the gameplay and exploration of X, and wish they would give that style of open ended exploration another shot.

Oh I guess with Mio no matter what you choose, you can give Mio long or short hair via the menu. I was seriously worried about that choice lol.

At the end of chapter 5 I skipped Noah shaking the bars for the third time not realizing it skipped literally the entire ending of the chapter. Thank God I went back and used the auto-save.

That was long as shit, though.

Okay so I've determined my least favorite character in this game.

It's Ghondor. By a country mile.

Right now I'm focusing on ascension Quests right now but I'm trying to decide if I want to move the plot along or not. I might try to clear out as much as I can if I know the city is going to be destroyed.

Wait chapter 5 spoilers:

Does the city really get wiped out? Cause it would suck for the first major hub to only exist for one chapter.

So I definitely like Lost Vanguard on Eunie enough to keep it on her (she's also got the badonkadonk) but it definitely doesn't fit Incursor class enough though it's my favorite to play as.

I did my first Ascension Quest (Alexandria since I love playing as Incursor) and that was pretty damn long all things considered. Figured they might be a little longer than the recruitment missions but that felt like it was at least twice as long.

I finally dug out my one of four Shulk Amiibos I own that's still in it's box and unboxed it.

Time for some good ol' monado fun

There's an air of dullness and bored sounding voice acting in XB1 that makes me unable to fathom these takes. I don't even remember the name of the best friend character and sniper lady. Shulk is like a piece of white bread.

He's the Xenoblade equivilant to DR1 Makoto Naegi.

Theres a reason Riki is the absolute king of that game and nobody else comes even within throwing distance. Melia is good but the game shits all over her at every opportunity it gets. Melia deserves better than a nobody like Shulk though so that's her win, really.

This is certainly a take since Xenoblade 1 has some of the best voice acting in video gaming and none of the other games in the series come anywhere close. The VAs for people like Dunban and Sharla act circles around characters like Taion and Sena.

Noah is barely above Rex.

Hell Noah is significantly below Elma.

And yet it still managed to make it into the second Sonic movie.

Nah I just don't like the bare arm look. And they're so few for Eunie that have something on her wrist or have her wrist's covered. I actually want to put Flash fencer on Noah but I'm super weird about not having two characters dress the same.

I really thought I was gonna replace it with Lost Vanguard or Lone Exile.

My dad is the opposite. Was a big Limbaugh/O'Reilly fan but has moved left on a lot of stuff (save guns where he was always very left). Now thinks guys like Hannity are huge pieces of shit.

Lost Vanguard's looks bad on the male party members but fine on the female ones for obvious reasons (they even leave in the cleavage wrinkle on the males so it looks even more awkward).

I disagree, there's not enough sinning for my tastes.

It is not the worst Matrix movie I've ever seen since I haven't seen it.

Same here. I keep trying to find new outfits for the two of them because it's boring to keep them looking the same way but I always come back to them.

In terms of looks, I've got:

Noah: Thaumaturge
Mio: Military Uniform
Eunie: Flash Fencer
Taion: Strategos
Lanz: Heavy Guard
Sena: Incursor/Stalker

Honestly, Eunie, Noah, and Mio have the problem of not having gauntlets which makes some outfits look bad that I would have loved to use them. Like Full Metal Jaguar.

Like I really wish classes had taken on the full look of the hero they came from instead of just awkwardly putting on their jacket. Mio has some of the worst looking ones because her undershirt doesn't go with a lot. Like Lone Exile looks horrible.

I mean Ethel has that same problem but at least there's no long walking and talking scene where it's right in your face.

I'm on chapter 5 and I know it's supposed to be a moment of major discovery for the heroes but the Scottish or Irish doctor asking "So who wants to know how babies are made?" was the funniest fucking thing in this game.

Dumb question, but when I use fusion arts do I combine effects from the Master Arts with Combat Arts? So like my Eunie is an Incursor and my top attack is Aerial Slash, but I have the Master Art it's paired with being Demolition (which has a 40% chance of ignoring defense). So do I have like a 2 in 5 chance of Aerial Slash ignoring defense if I fuse the attacks?

But where is Mega Ultra Chicken?
