Dark Moon Greatsword is just so satisfying in PVE and you can do weird things with it.

Up until then I was using the Zweihander since it seemed easiest to kill enemies with.

It's the best video game to come out since BotW, easily.

It's just a very good Dark Souls game, but you chart your own path through the game. The variety of character builds is huge, the environments are all interesting and often, much like BotW, just when you thought you had seen everything, the game shows you something new, or surprises you. Like people complaining about the mini-dungeons...idk, to me it seemed like the further into the game you got the easier it was to find mini dungeons that actually become pretty complex and varied. Different scenarios, setups, idk I'm always excited to find a cave.

idk it's hard for me to sum up, it's just an open world game that REALLY doesn't want to waste your time which makes the open world a part of the design rather than just a spectacle, though a spectacle it is.

My only complaint with the game is they didn't QUITE nail the balancing. Even dumping tons of points into vigor, you're still gonna get two or three shot by bosses... this is sorta mitigated by your expanded toolset and access to more healing, but, it's still frustrating that it feels like the difference between the best, heaviest armor and some decent medium armor isn't even one extra hit from a boss, so why ever use heavier armor?

Some weapon arts are OP compared to others.

Annand there are still minor technical issues (on my medium ranged PC i still get some stutter, though I get 45 to 60 fps @ 1080p despite my 7 year old processor after the game "settles in" and stops stuttering)

And there are sever bugs/glitches that can prevent extended play with friends. I wish there was some sort of dueling lobby because it's super fun but waiting 3 minutes just to get two shot can be frustrating.

I have a love/hate relationship with how understated the story is, and also how hidden some of the optional, powerful relics are. On the other hand, it's like, they KNEW people would be looking at guides so they purposefully designed some secrets in such a way that would be hard to describe.

Still despite these flaws, this game on so many levels is so far superior to the open world derivative drivel we've been getting the last 10 years. And no microtransactions or DLC. Despite the game having a persistent online world you can still play it in offline mode. TAKE A HINT DEVS. The only extra content will like be some DLC in the future--and I mean, real, 1999 style DLC not two swords and a new NPC that sends on boring fetch quests ala EA.

The way kids are learning math these days is ****ing stupid, btw. Idk if any of you have actually looked but my friend is a teacher and among the teaching community it is known that there is a serious problem in America with students and math. Part of the problem seems to be the new approaches to early level algebra (when math first starts taking critical thinking). I forget exactly what it's called...it's not "Chicago math" like most 90s or 2000's kids learned.

How can a math text be woke in the first place?

The brilliance of Harry Potter was the magic school part of it. Some of my favorite chapters in the books are the mundane ones where Harry's just going to class, dealing with being a kid but in magic school.

The world in HP great but taking away that angle, I just don't see how future stories can compare. Maybe some weird *** where the magic world gets heavily involved with politics of muggles or something could be interesting...but even in fantastic beasts it just seems they are reaching for stories.

But that coming of age tale spanning seven books can never come out again. The best chance the franchise has to stay alive, in my mind, is the potential for some sort of video game.

The old art is so much better.

Chrono Cross is a beautiful game with some of the best pre-rendered images on PS1. They were full of so much detail, and was extremely consistent across the game. I feel so bad that the PS1 version has been ripped from stores.

I love the PS3/360 era but most AAA games ran soooooooooooooo slow and have HD remasters that are far better.

in the 6th gen you had 3 very different consoles with very different architectures trying to be on the cutting edge. And lots of games run fast, which has made this gen age very well.

Like we booted up Mario Kart: Double Dash the other day and even in FOUR PLAYER SPLITSCREEN the game holds 60 fps without a dip. And it still looks good today. I just wish MK:DD had more tracks and it would easily be my favorite.

MGS2 ran at 60. MGS3 was cutting edge at the time with all of it's "cinema" effects like fake motion blur, fake depth of field, etc.

tonight I will succeed.

It was a cool concept and for it's time, a super fun game.

But it has aged as poorly as other SNES RPGs besides like, Chrono Trigger.

Paper Mario 1 and 2 have aged like a fine wine, still fun funny DIFFERENT RPG games. Im hoping for a remaster of TTYD.

I had a lot of fun with it. The remaster didn't do much as far as graphics but it's nice that you can actually see some people running around playing it.

Hmm its like the castle with the goopy boss at the end? I didnt know they changed it...

You can't level up until you beat the first level so you can't grind anything and you end up running out of consumables...it's TOUGH.

I haven't even made it to the boss yet...stupid traps.

Breath of Fire 3 doesn't have horribly annoying accents (at I didn't see any in the 2 minutes of gameplay I saw), so I guess play that.

It's professional athletics. I feel bad for her, but thick skin and being able to tune out the noise is certainly part of the game, and tennis is such a mind game that I'm not sure it was the heckling that triggered her...probably more of the loss.

Once I learned Impractical Jokers fake reactions/pranks, I was out.

The Eric Andre show NEVER faked and I respect that.

It depends on the topics/current agenda which gets closer to the truth, but they aren't reliable at all.

I used to really like a couple programs on Fox Business but that's because they had guests that were actually intelligent. And they just had less spin/more honest debate and discussion. I'm not even sure if Fox Business is a thing anymore.

We need to remember, both companies are owned by parent companies that spew OPPOSITE bias on different platforms.

We must understand these aren't a reliable way to get news. They function more like propaganda networks. They themselves, according to several lawsuits, identify as "News Entertainment".

Kinda like how if you get to know someone from China they sort of ignore their major media networks because most of the general public there understands it's propoganda.

I think it was Legend of Legia at my cousins house. I just remember thinking the slower pace and grander scale were right up my alley.

I fell in love with Final Fantasy IX though. Up do that point I didn't realize videogames could have such thick narratives. FFIX is a fantastic story.

But yeah, if you want depth, Disgaea isn't really for you. Most of it is more focused on heavy grinding to get really big numbers over actual depth. There's some, but...not much.

I used to be a huge Disgaea fan, but the series gradually lost me. It's so focused on super zany anime humor, big numbers, and tons of DLC characters, and the games just haven't innovated themselves in any meaningful ways. I've played 1-5, but I'm probably getting off of the ride as of now. They're fun games, but I feel like the series has sort of stagnated and it isn't inherently great enough to keep itself going.

Just Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (awesome) and currently almost done with Final Fantasy Tactics (imo is even better despite slightly less customization overall).

I started Fire Emblem on GBA years ago but I couldn't get into it. I don't know if it was the early levels but it was just too simple for me. I also had Path of Radiance on Gamecube but I ended up selling it (HUGE REGRET). Same thing happened tho.

This topic has kind of turned me off the series lol.

I want a SJRG with depth akin to Final Fantasy Tactics.

Some are not. Most are not, especially now.

Covid certainly has given power back to employees for fair wages, but on the other hand it's too much of a cushion to be able to just walk out on a job because it's getting hard and immediately be sure the government will send you a check.

Things are gonna get tougher in the world in the next few years.

I've managed in fast food. Let me tell you, it's one of the hardest retail/restaurant jobs because of the kind of help you get. Even when you treat them fairly, offer bonus incentives, time off, etc, they will still no call, screw over the good employees, lash out during peak hours and expect to come in and work at their own pace. Those kind of people now feel more entitled than ever. Get used to Mcdonalds, Taco Bell and Subway being the only fast food choices in the coming years.

Im limited to the ones available on PS2 and PS3.
