I haven't yet as I'm waiting for the full game. But that's great to hear.

It shows tbh. I don't see why you'd attack something without experiencing it first. If you liked the first one then you should like this. I personally wasn't worried about the prequel existing but I can get the apprehension with the new developers and new voice actors. But its good

Yeah, it's insane thinking that a self contained story which is clearly what the creators wanted to tell doesn't need prequels and sequels.

...The thinking that that just because you know what happens to certain characters means that a prequel is unnecessary is what was being talked about. So what? We finally get some answers regarding Rachel and I guarantee that's what a lot of people were interested in.

Bingo. Some people are so weird with how closed minded they are regarding BUT WE KNOW THE ENDING!!!

The story isn't necessary but its cool to explore the characters further and the fact we know their later fate is irrelevant.

It isn't about necessity or prior knowledge of how it all ends. Hell, literally everyone knows how stories like Titanic or Der Undergang end. It's about money and tacked on stories in order to facilitate making more of it. It's about someone wanting to share their creation with the world and people demanding more even though the story that needed telling, was told. It's about the creator's heart not being in it and it rarely delivers a good story.
Prequel to 300, anyone?
Now that isn't always the case, but the number of terrible prequels and sequels because of fan demand and $$$ far exceed the good ones.

Have you even played it? It doesnt feel like a cash grab. Its got the same atmoaphere of the first game and feels right

It likely won't even be covered. Its set 3 years before that happens and I think the developers said the whole story will take place within the same week.

Pretty easy, the powers were a gimmick for the first game. With this game you already have an attachment to the characters and their world so that should be enough to work with
