Eh, maybe. But even using that definition it's still not ironic. I find it really hard to believe that most people expected a bunch of racists going around giving the Nazi salute, wearing swastikas, and carrying torches would garner anything other than complete backlash and hatred in return. So...

The impending justice is satisfying.

But finding that justice satisfying or amusing doesn't make the situation ironic. TC was asking if the schadenfreude, as in people taking joy out of seeing neo-Nazis getting shamed and reprimanded, is ironic. There is no irony in any part of the situation.

I get the idea that these would actually be pretty reasonable for people who live in mega cities like New York and London. Long work hours, long commutes (on public transport), don't want to have to then travel extra to a supermarket and carry bags of food home, can't afford to eat out or order food in every day.

You could probably even leave the food prepped and ready in the thing and use the app to switch it on as you're on your way home from work etc (not exactly safe, but w/e).

And ultimately this is just the future oven. I wouldn't be surprised if this kind of tech started being common place in your average cooker over the next 10 years. Obviously not the delivered and ready prepared food, but cookers being controlled by apps with pre-set modes and savable recipe cook times etc.

Do the Americans here not realize that they also have similar hate-speech laws as the UK and other parts of Europe? There's this huge misconception that anyone and everyone can be arrested for saying anything slightly considered offensive, which is not the case and you'll be very hard pressed to find multiple examples of this happening from reputable sources.

The actual laws are about hate speech that incite violence. You can legally say 'i hate (insert group)' but you can't say it in a way that is seen to be provoking actual violence and physical attacks against them. This is exactly the same in the UK as it is in the US.

The only difference is that some European countries have varying degrees of laws pertaining to holocaust denial.

What makes this even funnier is that the US is behind pretty much every single other western country in the Press Freedom Index, which is one of the best ways of measuring actual freedom of speech. But who cares that your press has less freedom to report on your govt, when you can say 'i hate (insert group)' and other nations (supposedly) can't.

being slightly better (as in, not as awful) as something like 06 or chronicles or boom isn't a talking point in the game's favor

I thought it was also better than the a lot of the handheld Sonic games over the years, which pretty much all just boiled down to pressing right on the d-pad and watching Sonic go really fast.

It should be OK. There's plenty of ways they can tweak the interface and controls to make it work. I'm excited about this, if only for the potential of a Pillars 2 and Tyranny port as well, as since playing Pillars 1, my gaming laptop has died.

If you check his wiki there's been a handful of accusations over the past 20 years. Personally, I think that's pretty damning. That makes it seem that, at the very least, he's predatory and inappropriate towards these young men.

It's definitely getting a bit like that on Reddit. It's partially because the Rick and Morty subreddit is a fucking shitshow, but then again the vast majority of tv themed subs are, especially out of season (and to be fair, there's not much else to do other than post old jokes and screen caps).

There's a bit of it on here too. Lots of people were outraged by the April Fool's joke, just because they didn't get to watch a new episode of Samurai Jack. A lot of people flat out refused to see the joke and were making it out ot be Rick and Morty's fault, not the networks.
