It feels weird to complain about it... Especially after reading through the topic.

IIRC, it was my first year of highschool. I was finding out that the world works very differently than I thought it did, it was scary. My mom had a medical condition that was getting worse... At the same time, she was trying to get me to make friends with just about anyone, and hang out with family members that clearly didn't like me.

We had financial problems, the power and hot water would go at random. So, it felt like I was freeloading off a friend of mine. I wasn't even sure if I could say we were friends, considering this was the situation I met her in >_>

School work seemed like too much on top of all that. Although, at the time, I though I was just increadibly incompetent. I looked like a mess most of the time, didn't get enough sleep, and people were clearly treating me differently... That all made the idea of going to school even less appealing. And it didn't seem like I had much of a future as an adult... I feel like it's downplay actual depression to say that I was ever depressed, but that's probably the closest I was.

All of that seems so long ago, and totally irrelevant now. This has been by far my best year so far :D

First and final bump

I just finished the series for the first time. There's already been a ton of discussion on the series, but I figured I'd ask for some opinions here anyway.

I love the series, despite the terrible impression the ending left me with. I'm tempted to rank 3 as the worst just for that... But, imo, 2 and 3 are still much better than 1, with 2 probably possibly being one of the best games I've played.

To 1's credit, it has some gameplay elements that I would've liked to see return (The Mako was actually kind of cool >_>), and it's the most tightly written of the series (Along with being the only one without a bullshit ending). And, to be fair, my experience with 3 was probably better than most. I had most of important DLC, made decisions that avoided some of the big continuity errors, ect.

I've only beaten IV, V, and X so far.

Despite how mundane its gameplay is about 90% of the time, and some of the problems I have with the writing, voice acting, ect., X's my favorite of those. I love the story and characters, enough to where this might be one of my top 10 games. I should probably replay it some day, and finally try out Blitzball and the expert sphere gird.

I like V almost as much. It took most of what I liked about IV, and inproved on it. Even the story's better, imo. IV has some of its own stuff going for it, though, I'd say it's still worth playing.

I've played very few games from that list... So in my uneducated option, I'd recommend Undertale.

Tough call, but I'll go with Mass Effect 2. I think it might actually be my new favorite RPG, if not favorite game in general. That be the recency bias talking, though.

2 leaves out a few gameplay elements from 1 that I liked. And I feel like 1 was more tightly written, and it doesn't have the bullshit that is the Human Reaper. But 2 takes out a lot of tedium and clunkiness of the first game, while adding some much-needed development to the world and characters... I'm aware that these probably aren't unique opinions >_>

Currently playing 3, and it seems like I'm nearing the end. I think... I like it as much as 2... This has been by far my best gaming year.

Probably 300-400. Only beat, or put a significant enough of time into about half of those.

RPGs, they probably make up about 30% of the games I've played. Wouldn't say that the genere's necessarily better than others, though. It's just I'm usually more tempted to try RPGs compared to other games, because not only are the game mechanics talked up, but so are the writing, characters, ect.

Mega Man 4, and kick off with Skull Man.

I started playing the series for the first time a little while ago. Made it to 4, and through almost all the robot masters, but lost my progress :/ Haven't felt up to restarting it yet.

I might have a bit of a problem with it, depending on how close he wants to be.

... Because I'm also gay >_> I probably wouldn't have any idea how to handle a relationship like that.

Y'know what? I might actually do this. She'll probably say something like "you can't let just let strangers choose love for you!!", and then ask for my actual reason.

A friend of mine really wants to see my reaction to romancing one of the characters. She'll ask for the reasons why I went with a particular character... But that's a loaded question, so I'll do this and say that the interenet chose for me :D

Most recently, the DS version of Final Fantasy IV. That's partly due to bad decision making on my part, though.

Also considered dropping Pokemon Moon. The first half of the game is mostly pretty mundane imo.

And I've been struggling to get through Dark Souls. I was really into it for a while, but got kind of burnt out. Haven't gone back to it since, and I've heard that the second half of the game isn't that good, so I might never beat it.

Fallout 4. To be fair, I might not have given it much of a chance, the most I did was wander around and clear a couple dungeons. But the game's just been so bland, and doesn't really get better from what I've heard.

Oblivion's a similar case, but I plan on revisiting it someday, because it apparently has some great quests.

Yeah, I met one. A friend of mine introduced me. I wouldn't have been able to tell he was trans if my friend hadn't brought it up. He looked pretty neutral, didn't really play up his feminine-ness, and his name wasn't traditionally masculine or feminine.

I thought he was flirting with me, because he asked if I liked kids... But then I realized that I was probably being stupid.

Ah, sorry! I didn't mean it like I'd take a commission or something. Just that I'd do what your doing, sketch something you request and post it. Nothing that'd involve money. Just wanted to clear that up.
