Stop making excuses. If you're not the person you want to be, then make an EFFORT to change that about yourself. Be the person you want to be. That includes attractiveness, too. If you don't think you're attractive physically, CHANGE that. If your personality isn't appealing to others, CHANGE that and be more appealing.

I think that people generally put too much emphasis on height, although 5'2" is unusual for a fully grown adult male. But still, not all women put as much demand on height as society makes it out to be.

Skin color has nothing to do with how attractive a person is. There are plenty of non-black celebrities with darker skin who have gone on to get married.

Then CHANGE THAT. Instigate conversations with classmates or join them, talk to people you know as much as you can, be more extroverted, heck, it doesn't even have to be in class. Join a club, do volunteer work, go out shopping at the mall. You need to take these chances and get out of your comfort zone if you ever want to improve your life. I've been the very same position as you, was completely antisocial throughout all of high school, stayed in my room just playing video games, being a lazy pile of filth for 5+ years, but now I want to make an effort to change all that. And you need to have the courage to do the same, or else you'll live like that for the rest of your life, to put it bluntly.

Don't just keep sitting around and hoping that your life will magically improve. Go out there and MAKE IT HAPPEN YOURSELF.

So, I'm a college student, and I coincidentally had this girl whom I knew from middle school in one of the same classes as I do. The first time we met again, she was delighted to see me again. Unfortunately, the semester is near over, and I didn't have a lot of opportunities to approach her during class, so I finally decided to do so as soon as she left, before I wouldn't be able to again. When I did greet her, though, she just waved without saying anything, hardly even acknowledging me. It was a huge disappointment. She usually greets me enthusiastically, but the one time I do, it's like she doesn't even care for me. Things change, I guess...

But that's not gonna leave me down! So I lost this opportunity. I have to take more chances and keep trying. I may have been knocked down this one time, but there will be many more as long as I keep picking myself back up. A year ago, I wouldn't have the courage to approach a girl like that if it killed me. So I'm proud that I took this chance, and I don't regret it one bit!
