It really is because so many people dismiss simple truth or find it easier to label it as insanity and move on.

Dictionary definitions do not epitomize the definitions of a word (see: dictionaries changing definitions/including new definitions over time). If there is a widely subscribed-to definition of a word that is not in the dictionary, does that mean it doesn't mean that? No, and in the future it will be changed to reflect that (see: how definition of 'literally' was changed.)

It's only "offensive" because people stigmatize the term "mental illness." By definition, it just means "a behavioral or mental pattern that may cause suffering or a poor ability to function in life." Clearly, 40% of them attempting suicide indicates suffering and/or poor ability to function.

It's not offensive to call ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, and PTSD mental illnesses.

People hide behind "real" definitions all the time and use them as an excuse for their prejudices.

I did not call their "going after White men" enlightenment. They are enlightened only after they become aware of the patriarchal value-proliferated society that they are in. If said enlightenment spurs them to act upon their own realized desires that have been oppressed for so long it is their own decision. Enlightenment is making them aware that they indeed have agency and do NOT have to be forced in any way.

It's basically them getting their comeuppance after treating them like objects throughout most of history.

Unfortunately, hostile reactions are common when people hear the truth. I can only hope they break free from their self-contrived delusions soon enough.

The fact that you used the term "own women" implies that you think ownership can be implied to people which is exactly the kind of thinking that permeates Asian society and thus creates such a hostile environment for them. I am not accusing you of malicious intent, you may simply have not realized it. But it speaks to the state of society we live in when people are so unaware.

Thus it is only natural for the oppressed women to seek solace elsewhere once enlightened. It is not racism but simply natural preferences that arise when given room to prosper. I cited ignorance as well as convenience originally because do brainwashed people know they're brainwashed?

How is it racist? Do you really believe that assuming other factors are equal, a typical Asian woman would pick an Asian man over a white man?

They have been conditioned to repress their own desires to respond to a system entrenched with patriarchal values. Asian countries largely operate on these values and women are frequently pressured (sometimes without even their consent or knowledge!) to blindly accept them.

If this honestly happens she is most likely influenced by her super conservative parents or is ignorant of being affected to that degree by a system entrenched in patriarchal values.

This is how it should be. Literally the only reason why Asian women still willingly enter relationships with Asian men are because of proximity, convenience or ignorance. Luckily those in the west are catching on but there's still a long way to go before their eastern sisters become sufficiently informed.
