Just type in "unit" (specifically unit, not unite as some titles said uniting or a variation of that, and you will see them all I believe. Unfortunately, when I was removed from being the one to create the Unite topics, a little after that, they started doing different style of Unite topics in term of names such as making it where the first letters of each word in the topic spelled Unite, so I don't have a full history of it. I do recall one of my 500 topics was modded after it reached 500, and I didn't bother disputing because the topic was over anyways, but I still find it stupid considering the topic at that point could do no harm. There was also a unite topic that reached 501 posts, and I somehow was the 501st post. That happened a second time on another board too, but I forget which topic that was. The fact that some bosses are optional is irrelevant, because you can't complete the game unless you beat certain ones (like Ornstein and Smough). I guess you never played Mechwarrior if you think losing levels of souls is comparable to losing a mech. s0nicfan posted... 4. However, in the grand scale of input requirements, I'd put it at least in the upper third, which I'd argue is enough to fall into the "hard" range. You can end up at a bonfire deep in an area too hard for you to beat with no homeward bones, effectively creating a failure state. For example: speed running catacombs in DS1 to the first bonfire at level 1 without any homeward bones. You're effectively trapped if you're not good enough (read: perfect) to fight your way out since a single hit will kill you. This is an extremely specific scenario and not applicable to actual failure states that need to be managed throughout the game. When I say failure states, I mean things like Mechwarrior deadline for the main quest, the D-Meter in Breath of Fire 5, and things like that. Going to some stupid remote area in Pokemon and using some oversight to release Pokemon with hms that you need to leave is not really a "failure state" Your claim that Dark Souls can't be considered difficult because it doesn't reach some arbitrary level of extreme challenge is asinine. The fact is that the Souls games are tougher than the vast majority of today's hand-holding games, and that is enough to reasonably call it a difficult series. --- Organized people are just too lazy to look for things.
