I would like to place WR Steve Smith on the tradeblock. 95 overall, 33 years old, 1 year remaining on his contract.

I would not like him to be placed on the in game tradeblock, only the informal one for Board 8 users, if that makes sense.

As for what I would like in return, well I have no idea what the market for an absurdly talented, aging, wideout on a 1 year deal is. Though the short term deal may actually be an advantage since it means a limited tether to an older player.

He would be the top player in free agency at his position by a pretty significant margin, but I have no intention of releasing him if a market doesnt exist because he is pretty cap friendly.

Also, Emerald and Stan I love the idea of some mock drafts and analysis. I will say though that I have absolutely no idea why you would slate me for a WR or OT since I have young talent at both, Steve Smith not withstanding.

My targets were a linebacker (I currently have no ROLB on the roster) and CB (a position of emphasis for me every offseason so far that I have never adequately addressed.)

Keep in mind what i paid for the 44th pick- the 58th pick, a 6th rounder, and a 34 year old receiver who wouldve been a cap casuality. Would anyone have cried foul at that being included here?

I would rather not divulge what positions i am targeting in the draft, but they are very thin ones. I need the highest draft pick that i can get. Shattered offered me the 16th and no one offered me a higher one. If a better deal doesnt emerge, and it hasnt, why shouldnt i trade with him? The second round pick only has value to me such that i can trade it. I am in a pretty good situation cap wise and am very well off at many of the deeper positions in the draft. Moving up the board helps me in a way that a greater number of picks does not.

There isnt a question that from an objective standard i am overpaying. The bigger question should be am i overpaying to an extent that a real nfl franchise in my situation would not? I say no. Of course a real team in my situation might wait until draft day to make the deal, but with how few gms will be there i cant exactly do that. Especially when i likely wont be available myself.

It's not just fanboys. Major sites are writing about this.

They did the same thing with mass effect 3.

My bandwidth has been really bad the last 2 days, so the game likely wont finish downloading for me until tonight. I cant speak to the game at all. But i can speak to the massive overreaction the community, and by extension majorgaming outlets, had to the 3rd game. It was ridiculous and ruined the fan bases credibility in my eyes.

stuntman, you mentioned what seems like a long time ago (was likely less than a week), about giving me a preview of some new sheet that would help people who do not have the time and/or desire to be intimately familiar with their team have information conveniently centralized. You can go ahead and give me that preview at your earliest convenience, but I do want to point out that several sheets undergo lots of column changes in case that affects formulas.

It would mainly be used for making a centralized player data base sheet and sorting that out to the existing pages. I think it would probably simplify things for you more than us, but would really only eliminate some of the redundancy youre having to deal with now from a keying perspective. For us it would just allow you to present the information however people seem to want it (such as including overall and age on both roster and financial pages.)

I will try to put something together by friday night, but it will depend on my schedule. Id like to scale up my example a little bit so you can see how it will work better.

As far as column changes, with this approach everything would depend entirely on the team name in row 1, so moving columns would require you to change the column headings rather than the entire columns.

I'm pretty sure a dryer would never perfectly fold clothes, not even in an infinitely unlikely sense. It has no method of folding, all it can do is spin clothes around.

I'm not saying you're wrong but you need a better example

I did the laundry and one of my shirts was almost perfectly folded when I pulled it out. It doesnt seem to be a logical leap that the shirt could have somehow fully folded through random tumbling.

So for those of you that did not watch star gate Sg-1, the multiverse theory in short is the idea that there are infinitely many parallel universes. It's an overpay by the Browns but clearly there's someone he wants higher up and I wouldn't take just the 3rd rounder for the trade up and have no interest in the HB (literally just released a similar HB)

And as I have 3x 1st rounders but no obvious first team needs (I'm drafting for backups / future), I don't have any real need to trade.

In short ive been shopping for a top 15 pick and came up with a deal for 16th. Look at my roster, its buttoned up pretty tight. Just one or two players are needed, and being in the top 16 in what looks to be a pretty thin draft is a big deal for getting an impact type guy.

Unless a better deal were to emerge, i dont see any reason why i would not be making this deal in real life. Im paying a premium for draft position.

I would like to propose a trade:

I am offering 2 aging players with 1 year left on their contracts:
WR TJ Housmanzadeh (88 ovr, 34 years old)
RB Rudi Johnson (88 ovr, 32 years old)

In exchange for them I would like to move up in the draft.

I am also offering:

Round 1 pick 24
Round 2 pick 24
Round 3 pick 24

I would like to get the best possible draft pick or picks for some combination of these 5 things. I am open to moving up in either the second round (in which case the first rounder is off the table) or the first round (in which case all 3 picks and both players are on the table.)

I would like to have the deal posted by Wednesday if possible. I am not looking for some huge draft position boost since this is a 1 year rental on 2 aging skill position players. However, I think that since both are still high caliber starters they at least justify swapping picks within the same round.

My ideal would probably be 4 of the above for a pick in the 10 - 15 range. But if not possible I am open to anything, including swapping multiple picks to move the players to a new team that can better utilize them.
