However I did watch a playthrough to experience the game secondhand and I heavily recommend it if you can't get into it. It's worth it.

Well I tried again and managed to get 1 star. Think I need to upgrade my Himeko and Clara more if I want to get higher.

It's funny just said I don't really like Kafka in PF and then they come out with a dot focus one literally the next day.

3 starred the first 3 PF of this new one but yikes the first side of the last one is rough. I don't really have a good way to combat the new enemies that spam dots, offensively or defensively.

i do need to do another pass on my core team after Fu Xuan leveling before building anyone else though I think. A few of them still have some room for easy upgrades.

Well hopefully having Fu Xuan available for sustain options soon should help out.

I'm getting stone walled on MOC 10 for both last cycle and this one. I can do really well on the first side for this current one but I can't beat the True Sting on the 2nd. Spent like an hour trying last nght.

It sucks because I actually could get 3 stars on it if it didn't just kill me lmao. My damage isn't lacking. My Lynx can't put out enough sustain.

I'm fighting the urge to pull more for Topaz just because I'm a waifu gacha addict.

But I think I'll be able to make it.
She'll rerun again eventually and Fu Xuan is a higher priority for me right now.

The devs said recently in I think it was the 2.2 livestream she is going to get a different-but-similar path/element swap mechanic like Trailblazer so it's probably tied to that.

Generally you could expect to see a bronze mat within 40 AP (once every two runs on average), silver within 80 (4 runs), and gold within 120 (6 runs).

That's just the most common average. As Thorn said, they're all different, and some are better or worse (some gold mats used to have a 400 AP/d aka AP per drop a long time ago but i believe those are all gone for years).

And because averages, sometimes you'll go awhile without any because random. Sometimes you'll also get more than expected. (Lol)

It's because the Avatar movies are more popular with the non-nerdy crowd. They're like, fine, but people that watch a lot of movies, play a lot of video games, etc have seen the plots and spectacle before so they're not that impressive to them.

People that haven't absolutely LOVE the movies because the presentation draws them in more. I have several older relatives that like, primarily watch game shows, reality TV, and/or non-fiction that absolutely love Avatar and have rewatched each like 3-4 times when they NEVER do that for anything.

Though I do think after I finish getting Robin up to the level of the rest of my squad i need to upgrade my relics more to fine tune them. I still can't clear beyond MoC 9 with more than 1 star max.

I'll probably end up building Misha at some point in the future unless we get another ice DPS I want more before that. Don't have Jingliu and don't really want her much.

Luckily for me with Harmony MC, Xueyi was one of my first pulled 4 stars so I've had her built for quite awhile! Not building Harmony MC til after Robin though. Herta should be done aside from actually good relics (Instead of okay ones that she has now) within a day or two.

Amon is literally the most important Allagan (even more so than Xande, because he was behind resurrecting him) and is directly responsible for nearly every atrocity one of the most long-standing plots in the game committed. Hes the reason behind basically every single Allagan dungeon in the game, including The Binding Coil.

And you misunderstood the shard thing. Amon is a shard of Hermes (who is Fandaniel on the Convocation), just as we are the shard of Azem. Emet raised Amon to full Ascian as happened with Gaias previous life and her former boyfriend, etc. Amon is the one who possessed Asahi and has always been Fandaniel.

The rest Im really not sure what to say to other than it seems youve misunderstood a LOT of what is going on in Elpis including Herms motivation.

Elpis was basically the culmination of 10 years worth of lore payoffs back-to-back-to-back and I find it hard to understand how someone who otherwise has been paying attention to the story so far seems to have missed basically all of it.

Elpis is probably my favorite part of the entire game including all expansions so idk I dont really agree

I like Duolingo but yeah it's not great for most languages as a sole learning tool. It's great for giving you exercises to do consistently as practice.

Rosetta Stone when I used it is absolutely awful. Cannot anti-recommend enough. Huge waste of time and felt like I learned almost literally nothing from it. Admittedly this was like 10 years ago so maybe they've shaped up since but from what I've heard I doubt it.

Ok I just used a support Robin with my Clara and Ratio for the weekly Scarabaz grinding and LOL it melted so hilariously fast.

Bugs popped instantly if Robins ult was going and then the big bug would lose 40-50% of it's life bar when Ratio attacked afterward.

That ult is nutty.

Herta now leveled and has... Decent relics, still need to finish her traces and LC leveling though. Then I can get started on Robin.

2.2 beated. I liked it quite a bit.

Honestly, I probably irl lean more toward agreeing with Sunday philosophically, but yeah the whole lacking choice thing is always a big sticking point.

I kind of wish this patch was like, 25% longer and we got a bit more Robin and Firefly. Firefly kinda just comes back and hangs out with everyone and there's not really any emotional payoff to her death. Robin needed a bit more focus too, maybe have her more proactively debating Sunday and trying to get him to back down.

It felt too short and undercooked on the personal development front. Maybe they'll fix that in the next patch? Idk. Sparkle and the IPC stuff is obviously being saved for it, at least.

The overall plot was well done though and I liked how Misha was handled in particular.

The Grand Company of Eorzea gets more hype the more content youve done too because it adds more NPCs to the meeting where its formed based on several factors (jobs youve leveled etc). Literally spent like 20 minutes going around talking to all the old faces in my playthrough.

Still really hope Ryne and Gaia come back with a bigger role at some point.

Yeah the story specifically is not suppose to be real time and basically all takes place within a single year or so.

Even if it doesn't make a huge amount of sense if you stop an think about it.
