How will society improve if we destroy the planet's ability to sustain our society?

As the planet is dying, Humans will have only two choices; save their species, or die. The former is where space travel comes in. Either that or a new resource capable of further survival. If there's one thing Humans are good at, it's adapting.

Society will. The Earth? Hopefully we invent space travel before then, as I don't expect Humans to suddenly start caring about the environment.

Accelerationism doesn't work. Chaos will happen, but at its own pace. Americans will eventually get sick enough of right wingers to get rid of them. They always do. History will repeat itself, but things will improve again.

But my biggest question is the villain portrayals. They used to be huge exaggerations. But now they're so true to life, that their rl equivalents will demand the show to be cancelled.

The right are an amalgamation of hypocrisy. They'll bully someone, and if they cry for help, they'll victim blame. And if their target fights back, they'll play the victim card on themselves.

If they were still the sitting President and Vice President, this might mean something. As is, who are they trying to appeal to? The left hated Kirk.

If the left refuses to unite, then they have chosen anarchy, because shit hitting the fans are what gets those in the middle motivated to do something.

I've come to the sad realization that unless left wingers finally unite, things are only going to get worse. The right are the villains in this story, and those in the middle are too easily distracted.

As long as the shooter isn't trans, it doesn't matter what right wingers think. It's the average American that will decide the outcome.

The difference is that the right has always been caught doing the things they accused the left of doing.

That's the slogan of 9/11, and for the most part, it's pretty effective. Here are a few things left wingers need to never forget.

- The average American will eventually forget the Republicans atrocities, so you must remember in their stead. Stop infighting and unite under a progressive candidate.

- Primary out all establishment Democrats. If that fails, swallow your pride, because even an establishment Dem is better than any Republican.

- Assume that most Americans are apolitical. What's "common knowledge" for you, is completely new to them.

While I can understand what both sidesists are "trying" to say, bad is a WHOLE lot better than evil.

If there was anything good to come out of the average American having a goldfish memory, it's that Charlie Kirk will be forgotten. Even right wingers will forget once the next hateful grifter takes his place.

This "tragedy" reminds me of that moment in the first Joker movie where some poor person died and the media didn't give a shit, but when Joker killed those rich assholes, suddenly the media was covering it and treating the loss like it was something big.

If they never find the shooter, I'll be suspecting this was a professional hit. If they find the shooter, and it's some goofball that doesn't look like they can shoot THAT far away, I'll be suspecting a coverup.

I remember passing notes before there were cell phones and people would come up with creative ways to fold them so they're hard to open.

One time this girl passed a note to a dude up front and a kid opened it and read it out loud. It said something about how she wanted to have sex with the guy and she walked out and didn't come back for like a week.

I remember when the notes were folded origami like, and some kids played paper football with them.

He's just mad because now there will be consequences to police brutality.

Lots of field trips and special events, school supplies were virtually free, and a whole lot less shootings.
