Humans are the real monsters was always gonna be the main theme of this show and unfortunately in many other zombie media as well.

The earlier seasons balanced it so much better which I could actually enjoy. The show as it went on started introducing more and more human and conflict and I didnt really mind it at all, but by the time Negan and the Saviors get introduced the zombies basically became background plot devices which was so boring to me

I did a 21 day break from caffeine to give my self a reset a couple of months ago

The first cup of coffee back was exhilarating to say the least. You forget how good the caffeine buzz is supposed feel when you do it everyday

For a while I was doing caffeine every other day and that 48 hours was enough time to not build up a tolerance. Then of course I fell into the trap of thinking I needed it back to back days and was eventually back to drinking it everyday, which at that point your body is so dependent on it youre really just ingesting it to get back to baseline and maybe get a short 20 minute buzz. Or worse you keep upping the dosage chasing that buzz and putting yourself deeper into dependence, exactly like any other drug really

I think at the end of this month Im going to do another reset

I feel like Id still live basically the same honestly

I dont really have any desire for uber expensive cars or big houses. If I had multi millions the biggest purchases Id make would probably be a high end Acura or equivalent and a nice apartment

To me money is freedom. If I no longer have to worry about paying bills, keeping food on the table, a roof over my head and can live comfortably Im pretty much content. Im single and I make $70k a year in Arizona and Im honestly pretty content already, though I definitely dont make enough to not have to worry about emergencies

Gohans schtick has always been latent ability. I think the show makes it pretty clear that he had that SSJ2 power already available deep down inside, he just needed to be pushed to reach it. Goku pretty much understood this as well

Vegeta always seems to be pretty tapped out at his limit for whatever strength level he is currently at. Watching Trunks get blasted definitely set him off, but I dont think he had any more latent potential in the tank to go SSJ2 at that time

TopicAny of you have ever worked at a big retail store as a cart associate?
gamer167

I worked as a lot attendant at a Home Depot for about a year when I was 18

Shopping carts was one thing, we also had the lumber carts and drywall carts which where significantly heavier and you could only really push/pull two at a time max

Carts was only a portion of the job though I was constantly loading peoples cars and trucks with bags of mulch, road salt, concrete mix, lumber, roof shingles, drywall, tar buckets, etc.

It was easy in the sense that it was very straightforward job, but it was difficult and very physically demanding. Id assume its a bit easier at other stores though

If you pause and drag the video you can see the kid grabs ahold of the teacher again in the hallway

Speed and violence of action is the best and most efficient way of trying to separate two people. Just getting in between or trying to pull someone away results in what you saw earlier where the kid keeps on going after the teacher

It looks bad/jarring because it was so sudden and efficient, but that kid had to be stopped and that was one of the best ways to do it. People generally dont get less aggressive when they continue to attack someone, it usually escalates further and if that kid didnt get pinned to the ground its not worth the risk that he hits the teacher again.

If that kid hit him on the chin or in the back of the head and he fell back and cracked his skull on the hard floor would anyone really care how hard the kid was taken down? This removed all possibility of that happening and stopped the situation in its tracks

I mean personally not something I would do, but an adult is an adult. For whatever reason theres a large contingency of people that believe the only thing a young adult isnt capable of and must be protected from is dating someone older than themselves.

They can join the military and go to war, take out loans, go to jail/prison, move away from home, get married, buy a house, and a bevy of other life altering activities that can come with serious consequences yet people rarely if ever say that they shouldnt do them or be protected from them

But if they find out theres an age gap between two individuals (and its almost always solely when the girl is younger and the guy is older) the pitchforks come out

There are definitely some situations that the relationship is predatory and should be called out, but I dont think its every single one and it shouldnt inherently be treated as such
TopicMeidasTouch dethrones Joe Rogan Experience as the top podcast in the US

Ehh they are definitely popular but as far as views and downloads they have a strategy to manipulate and boost their numbers

Go to their page on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, etc. they release 6-8 episodes a day every single day so in a week they release like 30-40 podcasts with some videos being a short as 10 mins long. Which afaik no other major podcast does

Rogan releases 1-4 a week and theyre 2-3+ hours long. If he took the same strategy and chopped his episodes into 10 minute clips and released 30-40 of them a week hed blow them out of the water so bad regarding views and downloads theyd never even hope to surpass him

So their strategy is cute but theyre not actually anywhere close to being as big as Rogan, love him or hate him. Theres many other podcasts where if they all chopped their episodes up into clips they could pass Rogan too

I dislike when people reference the poor animation in DBZ whenever the poor animation in DBS gets brought up

Yes DBZ also had some poor animation, but DBZ was also animated in the late 80s/early 90s well before the DB franchise blew up into the global phenomenon that it is today. A lot of manga adapted animation from that era is rough looking

DBS has shitty animation because Toei rushed the whole project and wanted to be cheap, thats kinda it

Ill never understand the boomers in politics and their absolute refusal to relinquish power to the more capable younger generations no matter how mentally and physically decrepit they become

Like the average person once they hit 60 cant wait until they get to retire and just live life. Most would rather actually retire sooner than that and actively try to retire as soon as possible

Yet the AVERAGE age of a U.S. Senator is currently 64 years old, with many of them in their 70s, 80s, and occasionally even 90s

As a kinesiology major in grad school I never really found I could use ChatGPT to cheat on most of my assignments, but if we got assigned a bunch of research papers to go through I would use ChatGPT to summarize the articles and pull out the relevant information for my assignment

I found learning to read through research articles was import in undergrad the first few times you do it to understand how a article is written/organized but after a while unless youre using them as citations for your own research you just start skimming them for relevant information anyways. ChatGPT just helped me to exponentially speed up that process
