i have 10 on my laptop. 11 on my desktop that i upgraded 10 from my old laptop when it started to run super slow to the point it was hard to use. i built this desktop and figured i'd just do the free upgrade to 11. it sucks compared to 10 but it's not THAT bad. i barely use my laptop but when the support ends i'll go ahead and upgrade it to 11. still hoping they extend security updates in the states as well.

yes but i only played like the first 3 or 4 months it was out. put in 200-300 hours and have every exotic and raid gear and stuff from the base game and the first expansion. think the 2nd expansion like 6 months in added a raid and i did come back to beat that and then dropped the game again. destiny 1 i put like 500 hours into and did the same thing but it added a 2nd raid right away so kept me hooked for like 6 months.

looking back i always wondered how i managed to put so much time into it. i was running all 3 characters so probably playing 25-30 hours a week and working a full time job. now i just now beat silksong with the true ending and been playing that heavy since it came out and that took me 3 weeks and 50 hours for 100% i definitely been playing a lot but with destiny i was still playing way more hours a week.

it's better to look a little more towards the future and not focus on just being able to play a 5 year old game. you don't want to struggle playing a game in a few years.

i like 1440p but if you just went for playing at 1080p you could save some money that way. $1200 isn't really gonna run 4k so don't look at that for a monitor. if you're buying one or have a 1440p i'd go with that but if you have a 1080p monitor you're planning to keep then you should be able to run most games at high settings still with $1200.

i dunno. i played it same and say over 1000 but could be over 2000 if i'm including all the free ps+ games on top of all the free ones i've gotten on pc and my own collection.

i get the joke but like the finals are on like every 3 days so could have just had the funeral the day before or after so it makes it a rather meh joke to me. obviously i get logic isn't supposed to be part of a joke.

was wondering if it was just me because i was watching on the ad version of disney+. took me awhile to figure out how to log onto the espn app and link it with my cable. ended up using the wrong mydisney email and needed to use my cable one even though the instructions said i had to make a new account so thought it was just using my disney account i already was using for free through cable.

but if ads are matter what then that's lame. guessing ad free would just do video packages instead like they did before. or do you get ads even if you're ad free? they just make for a good piss break time.

I get Sonic like maybe twice a year. It's like 20-25 minutes from me so it's not convenient. If the food was better I'd get it more often. It's good enough to get once in awhile though. Has been a few months since I've gone so guess I'll go soon when they have a decent deal on the app and get the fries.

weird choice tbh. i finally played it earlier this year and never played any of the games after. do the modern games still have outside the animus stuff? i wouldn't mind the new games to just take it out.

for the remake i feel like it'll be better if they just gave the option to skip it.

silksong is definitely harder than the first game. silksong feels more like late game hollow knight. i'm currently in act 2 so not sure how much harder it gets. it's still really not that. 10-15 tries is the most i had to do. most bosses i beat in like 5 tries and a few i've done 1st try. hollow knight i definitely first tried way more bosses and don't think it took more than 5 for anything except late game stuff. DLC bosses were absolutely brutal though.

but yea playing the first game is better. not super important but helpful to understand a bit plus just being an easier game to help you learn better. silksong definitely feels like the difficulty was designed for people that beat the first game. i know there's a patch to make some bosses and stuff easier and i'm thinking they'll nerf more of the difficulty over the months so i'm happy i'm beating it with the original hard difficulty. but don't let that scare you away. i absolutely love both games.

X is classic but i always thought X2 was slightly better. LOVED the snes trilogy. definitely the peak of the series. haven't went through and beat them all since the PS2 days. have been wanting to again. i did try X7 cause i skipped that one as a kid. it's pretty aweful. X8 i rented as a kid and thought that one kinda sucked too. honestly kinda crazy how amazing that series was and then the downfall on PS1 but still pretty good games and then PS2 was just garbage and the series died for like a decade till they revived it with 9 which is probably top 5.

do i have to? i'm fine with not playing any of them. can i give up all of them for a new F Zero game in my lifetime? even if it's not till i'm 80.

switch 2

do you actually need it to play? or can you just play it on tv? knowing nintendo they'll probably find a way to force you to need to buy 1.

like $100 i wonder if i could just buy a real one. it's rare so probably not anymore but 20 years ago maybe could have got a bundle for that.

they always taken forever to put out a game after the original trilogy. i loved 5...well i've loved all of them except 2 and that which shall not be named. thought 5 did well so was hoping to get another game after a few years. does seem crazy we won't get a proper one on PS5.

i did see they did put out another mobile game last year so they're still doing something with the IP at least. hopefully they announce something soon.

lot of reports saying it's a mess on PC. sounds like playing on any console is a better experience. but should get patched in the next few weeks.

is the story and characters as bad as i hear? from what i seen gameplay is fun when it works right. characters and story sucks and got rid of all the humor and it's a buggy mess. also hear side quests mostly suck but to be fair most of them in the other games did as well. sure some were fun but a lot of them were just kinda there.

1st was easy and beat first try. that 2nd one though was way more annoying. still wasn't that bad for how many people i've seen complain about it.

and nintendo wonders why people hate them and only have their fanboys praising them anymore. i grew up with nintendo and have owned pretty much every system of theirs except a virtual boy and switch 2. like everything they do is anticonsumer to a point it's insane. they make microsoft and sony look like angels in comparison.

how much did nintendo pay off everyone to get this crap to not get immediately thrown out?

yea i have the original as well as the psp version but that's like a game that was designed for the switch. just playing on the couch while watching something in the background. never finished the game. probably waiting for a sale since i have too much other stuff to play.

prime remaster. i'm still assuming the rumored switch prime trilogy will come out sometime. supposedly it's been finished for like 2-3 years. but they might just release them individually. put they really should have came out with them this year leading up to prime 4.

i'll still give it a chance but nintendo has been great lately at ruining their games.

i never beat any of the other prime games. only played the first and was pretty close to the end as a kid but never finished. started the remake last year but didn't really get into it much. only put like 2 hours in or something and haven't touched it in forever now. keep saying i'll go back but never actually do. but i want to beat the trilogy before getting 4 anyways. if 4 turns out its meh then guess that gives me that much longer to take my team beating the trilogy.

then like RE and some stuff that's gonna run better on other systems. DK dlc was meh. they'll probably charge way too much for it.

most of the big name stuff they showed are just ports and remakes of old games and it's honestly been the core of what they been putting out for most of the last decade. they've gotten super lazy and greedy charging $60-80 for old games.

i been thinking they'd release virtual boy on NSO. but definitely didn't expect them to be like LOL buy this crap just to put your switch in it to play.

i still haven't gotten interested in buying a switch 2. DK is like all i want still. i mean like i'd probably get like fatal frame and stuff although i own them both on ps2 but never actually played them.

I have it as the best Mario RPG in general. Really wish they'd come out with another true game and not this casual garbage they been doing.

most games have damage scaling. silksong just introduces it pretty early but i haven't really had much of a problem with it. most normal enemies you quickly learn their pattern or in most instances can just avoid them. they improved the world design a lot so generally getting back to where you died is pretty quick. and makes rosary strings more useful when you have a bunch with nothing to buy just to be safe. thought there was never a point in them till i lost 300 but then like midgame(maybe earlier?) there's a good farm and i got 1000 in 10-15 minutes to buy everything i missed from the shops and that was shortly after i lost the 300. now just bought the thing for 880 and that wasn't even from farming. just had a bunch and strings i found and been able to buy everything else i came across and that was the last thing i needed till i find a new shop.

3 days of it sounds ok i guess. 4 days of just that definitely can't be healthy. are you working out as well? barebones weight loss is just burning more calories than you eat. calorie deficit and at least walking will get you to lose weight.

DS. would be fine on tv but would be awkward trying to implement it in handheld. but they probably could do it side by side and have half the screen touch screen if the game needs it.

virtual boy would be cool to finally get.

Wii would be the easiest to do but really doubt they will anytime soon. but getting the OG wii sports on switch 2 would be cool.

as for pokemon i'm surprised they haven't at least released rby by now. not like they make money on people buying used copies. but this is why i hate what they did with the switch and NSO. like oh old games included with online? cool. not being able to actually buy any games or have all the games that were on the wii shop is lame. obviously, licensing kept a lot away but there's still so many games they don't add to NSO. plus they easily could have all the pokemon games on there for you to buy like you could on 3ds. they have TCG and mystery dungeon on NSO but not the games that people actually want to play.

i'm only a few hours in but loving it so far. definitely similar to the first but different enough it still feels super fresh. beat like 4 bosses so far and can't wait for more. it is a bit slow at first but so was the first game before you got dash which i think was after like the first or 2nd boss. silksong takes a bit longer to get some movement upgrades and definitely a metroidvania where you have no clue where to go and just exploring around. sucks when you find a new area and don't have a map and can't find a bench and then die and have to try and find your corpse.

Really? Maybe I'm not that deep in it yet, but the relative immediacy and freeness of mobility feels like it's much easier to play safe. In HK1, at least from what I remember, swordbouncing off enemies was important, and a lot stricter than the jump options we have now.

yea on their page i see a lot of people saying an act 1 boss is way too hard. the TC even said it was harder than any boss in the whole base HK game. i haven't got to him yet tho.

I hated how restricted I felt by lack of powerups at first, but I realized how fun it is to be challenged without having to get to the endgame and I love it. The difficulty alone separates it as a distinct game from the original, without it they ran the risk of making it feel too samey. 12 hours in so far, having a blast. My main gripe is that mapbro keeps disappearing when I finally have enough rosaries to pay for new maps and then I end up getting rekt and losing them by the time I find him again.

you can make him come to you in the first town of the game. go up the rock on the right side that you probably seen when you first got there and was like huh there's nothing there...well on the rock there's a bell you hit a few times and mapbro will come to you.

yes, it's pretty much everything besides the mobile game obviously but does have the movie that story. then just cutscenes of days and recoded but recoded sucked and although i did enjoy days the gameplay was pretty shallow and got tedious to play after awhile so just watching like 10 minutes of cutscenes is all you really need for it. if you never played the games or just played the ps2 ones and don't have any of the newer ones than $60 for it all is definitely way cheaper than i paid for the majority of them but i bought most when they launched. you can probably get like close to 500 hours out of them all. well if you plan to beat the secret bosses.

i just checked and i put 42 hours into the game and that's with doing DLC and taking my time and playing blind. so 30 hours sounds pretty reasonable. playing 15 hours a week is doable depending on your schedule.

yes, depends on how much time you get to play and how much you struggle with some of the bosses. the main game isn't all that hard tbh. it's mostly the optional stuff that gets pretty brutal. i put a lot of time into it and curious to see just how many hours.

they'll just keep rising the price of the sandwiches and stuff. most are like $6 now. i know the pop they get crazy profit margins off of like everywhere else does. i'm sure they do on the fries as well. not like it costs them much for a potato or 2 of fries per person. so even if the combo meal is only like $3 extra it's not like they're losing money on it. just not making as much profit as before which mcdonalds will reimburse them for.

won't make me go more often. i still go like once a month. mainly just using one of the deals but they've been lame with those and you can't use them on the BOGO or $5/6 meal deals anymore for the 25% off coupon. i miss when they did the 2 for $5/6 with the big mac, qpc, 10 piece. that was actually a good deal but now it's basically getting 1 free so they stopped it.

i was cool with it at the time but like legit every character ends up exactly the same so it was weird.

like should have been like you get 1-3 unlock tokens per character and then they could upgrade with those characters upgrades as well. or what i'm thinking just 1 and make each characters like twice as big. like 25 levels in each grid to learn all the different abilities except the final one you need to put 50 levels into the grid to get and it's exclusive to the starting character. so you can just focus on that and once you hit 50 have that character maxed and then start your 2nd grid. or just get to 25 and then focus on the 2nd grid and then will have 2 near maxed by time you hit 50. then the extra points is just a bunch of stat ups and stuff till you get 99 and maxed out.

i looked it up and mines isn't. looks like a year ago they updated them. so now all of them are hall effect but i've had this like 5 years or so. i have 2 so by time both die on me they'll probably have like a pro 4 or 5 out lol. do like how the pro works on switch, pc, android and ios. looks like a lot of the others are only pc and switch. not that i've really done too much mobile gaming and most i used it for was just on my tablet. so wouldn't be a dealbreaker for most and i'd assume you could get a pc controller to work on those devices just fine anyways.

i looked and i have the pro 2. was that hall effect joysticks? i know the ones on the site say they are but i don't remember them being advertised as that years ago when i bought it. so was it always hall effect and they're just advertising it harder now? or is it a version 2?

i got one a couple years ago just to try it with how popular they've become. always had sedans before. overall i still prefer the sedan but the SUV is like 2 inches shorter length wise than my old sedan which is nice. also much taller and with the seats folding down does give you a lot more room to store stuff in the back. but i honestly thought the gas mileage would be better. like it is around 4/5mpg better but i was expecting more like 10 since my sedan was a v6 and i lost a lot of power going to the SUV.

didn't know they had no controllers. they look nice but i have whatever the old pro/ultimate or whatever controllers that look like a ps3/ps4 controller. bought 2 of those years ago and been working well. have been wanting something with hall effect joysticks but more of wish nintendo would have done that on the switch 2. i have a switch pro controller as well too that i was using before.

it converts to $2.88 so it's pretty cheap. i'd do it. but that's the first time i seen someone add a fully cooked egg to ramen. usually it gets mixed in cooking with the noodles or right after it's finished and just gets cooked in the broth.

yes, it was good. only played it new and was a bit disappointed they changed the style from the first 2 games i loved but still enjoyed SPM a lot. i beat TTYD remake last year and 64 multiple times over the decades since. SPM i do plan to replay soon and see if it still holds up or not. sad to see what the series has turned into since.

can we get a tldr? or is the title all we need to see? after the first paragraph i can't bother anymore.

twitch. people can post VoDs but they could branch out to a full youtube knockoff like how youtube added the ability to stream later on.

dailymotion is setup and is more laxed with some stuff. can find tv shows and stuff uploaded there. probably against the ToS and they probably get deleted after awhile but WAY slower than youtube at deleting it. but honestly more surprised youtube just hasn't bought out both yet.

undertale easily. know you said you got spoiled. but go in blind as you can or just do a neutral run first. all 3 runs won't take too long to do depending on how much you struggle on some bosses.

even if they do a DK bundle you're still saving $10 buying the mario kart bundle and DK after since that's $70 compared to mario kart being $80. now if you just don't want mario kart at all then yea it's a good bundle but just don't see anyone buying a switch now and not buying 1 of like the 2 worthwhile games it has. pretty much everything else is on pc/ps5/xbox/switch 1.

if you really want it and it's $380 might as well. that's only $30 more than an oled. hell nintendo might turn around and raise the switch 2 price next year or even by black friday. DK isn't enough for me to buy one and mario kart looks mid although i know i'd still buy it once i do get around to buying it. but have way too large of a backlog with some AAA games to play before i can justify buying a new system. but that's just me personally and have no problem with other people buying it and do wish i had a friend buy one so i could finally check one out.

haven't they been free on pc? i'll have to check but i feel like i at least have the first one free. if not i might have to pick it up and finally check them out.

i checked and don't see them and didn't see them on ps5 either. the first one is on ps+ extra though so think that was what i seen when i had extra last year(only because a year of that was on sale for cheaper than a year of the basic one).

i'll go ahead and buy it. getting both games for cheaper than just 1 is a pretty good deal and people speak pretty highly of them. between that and going through the castlevania metroidvanias will hold me off awhile. still waiting on silksong if that actually does come out this year but considering we're in august and stuff haven't heard anything except it's supposed to be out before the xbox ally in like november? so still doubt it's actually coming this year.

lol why? there's not gonna be any kind of black friday deal. it's gonna be the exact same price. after the price increase on the switch 1 the black friday deal will be dropping them back down to the old price for a few days.
