I disagree. Walls of text can spread awareness, motivate others to take action, invite discussions, open dialogues on finding solutions, etc. I may not know exactly what I need to do to stop this oppression but I would say voicing my outrage over it is certainly preferable to throwing my hands up in the air and say, "yep our country's laws are being trampled over... nothing we can do about it" and shrug it off like there isn't anything we can do about it.

What you're saying about "the people" needing to take a stand sounds cute but it doesn't mean anything.

The same way change was brought about at every other point in our country's history -- through public outcry, marching and protesting, writing letters to our governors/senators to fight, even posting on social media now will garner attention if enough of us rally to the front lines.

The only "vigilantism" that should be condoned in accordance with our country's laws is to publicly ostracize the guilty who have found a way to skirt through and exploit our country's laws through loopholes in the system and turn them into social pariahs. But that's only if the law fails which it shouldn't.

What isn't going to help anyone, let alone our democratic principles is this jaded, defeatist mentality. This is how civilizations are lost! Through the apathy of the people.

Huh?! Nixon was forced to resign from presidency. Something that should have happened to Trump. Bush Jr. was a reactionist moron who overextended this country's resources in response to an attack on this country's soil but he was never a criminal who soiled all over this country's laws, checks and balances, and due process. I'll have to look into Iran-Contra as I'm not familiar with it but there are a lot of instances where the people of this country succeeded in upholding the laws and standards this country was built on, even to the rich and powerful. A man like Trump should have been crushed in the Republican primaries in 2016 -- he wasn't. In fact, he shocked the world by defeating a vet like Hillary Clinton.
A man like Trump should have lost to Biden in 2020 by a landslide. He shouldn't have gotten any more than 100 electoral votes but it was still fairly close were it not for a few swing states coming in hot in support of Biden.

Biden's "age" and "senility" were already things brought against his campaign in 2020 but he spat in their faces and performed like a champion in the debates. "Will you shut up, man" will remain one of Biden's most iconic moments of his 2020 campaign.

Vibe and optics are unfortunately big factors. And Biden needs to look as strong as he did in 2020. The fact that he didn't come out of the gates swinging in light of Convicted Felon Twice Impeached Two Time Popular Vote Loser and Rapist Donald Trump is concerning for those optics when the deck was completely stacked in his favor in terms of talking points.

This is how it should've gone:
Trump: He's too old.
Biden: You're as old now as I was when I beat you last time.

Trump: Open borders.
Biden: You had your lackeys in the House kill a Republican-authored bill widely touted as the strongest border bill in decades.

Trump: Illegal immigrants.
Biden: You've been caught employing illegal immigrants at your golf resorts.

Trump: Inflation.
Biden: You printed trillions in new spending, you mishandled a pandemic that wrecked labor pools and supply chains.

Trump: Hunter Biden's laptop.
Biden: You're a convicted felon.

Trump: Burisma.
Biden: You took tens of millions from the Bank of China, from the Saudis, and from other foreign interests.

Trump: Russia invaded Ukraine because you're weak.
Biden: You stood next to Vladimir Putin and told the world you believed him over your own intelligence agencies.

Were far past fucked. This election was already too close for comfort, and this debate pretty much sealed Biden losing several, if not all the swing states. Its over.

I'm still holding out hope. Next month is Trump's sentencing and our justice system in New York prevailed over him. If the people can come together and send Trump to prison on the day of his sentence, it'll kill his momentum and prevent him from running his campaign. No more debates, no more public appearances, any access to media/electronic devices need to be confiscated for at least his first 5 years of incarceration, and Biden will win by proxy.

Up your vigor, play around and experiment with different Ashes of War, try to keep at least a few weapons of different varieties including a ranged option as some have already mentioned, use Spirit Ashes, keep a tab open for Fextralife wiki to look up stuff you discover but aren't sure how/where to proceed because the game will not help you organically.

i don't think OT2's dialogue is excessive. It's not Triangle Strategy. It's all plot driven with cut scenes a few minutes at most.

And the art style is amazing. Maybe give the demo a shot.

Yeah, I haven't played OT2 personally. All I've heard is that it's a general improvement over the first game in terms of story and interconnected character questlines, but then I've also heard people stopped about halfway through for some reason.

Thankfully, each game's setting seems separate. So if Asherlee would have an easier shot with 2 instead of 1, it definitely wouldn't hurt to try the demo.

Damn that looks good! You're more daring with the pizza sauce than I am. I'm usually paranoid about getting it too soggy but I pack mine up with more cheese than sense. Even line the edges with jack cheese and oil so it deep fries the crust.

Someone mentioned alfredo sauce. Maybe I'll give that a whirl and see how it comes out.

I've started making fresh pizzas in a cast iron. Even use GF flour for my wife with celiac's disease. And it is h e a v e n .

But I have tried a few different frozen pizzas. California Pizza Kitchen is good. DiGiornio's and Red Baron are... standard. Freschetta's is filling but pretty brand. Newman's was great but I think they changed the ingredients. These days I do Hearth & Fire for that flame-fired crust and it's my favorite so far among the frozen brands.

It's a nice love letter to classic JRPGs. Music and atmosphere is fantastic. Characters and dialogue are very... 90's anime. And I say that with love.

It's pretty grindy though. If you're used to the more grindy, maybe even "punishing" style of early JRPGs like pre-Final Fantasy 6 era... this one's for you.

I have not played the sequel but I do know it's alleviated other misgivings I had, like your party not really feeling like a party that have quests tied to one another... rather in the first game, each quest feels like individualistic stories with the other party members basically just being Pokemon -- along for the ride.

On a serious note, it would certainly teach you a lot more about race relations within the country than anything else available as a white person. You will never really understand someone unless you've been in their shoes, even with a convenient eject button.

Of course, that would also depend on whether this is an earnest, genuine attempt at understanding life as a black person or a way to generate clout to fuel your narcissism while skirting around the truth of your "personal journey".
