I wonder what changes will be made to DQ7 reimagined. Some speculation I've seen was that the job system will be reworked to be less grindy and early parts that drag on could be shortened.

It doesn't really mean anything. It's just the latest word that people like to throw at anyone they don't like.

I doubt I would go broke from blowing all that money on crap I don't need as I don't tend to do that now.

I hated those ones where you had to go to another book. The worst was one of the quest that unlocks in act 1 but can't be finished until act 3.

I started to find the tickington quest a bit tedious in act two. But that was my fault for putting them off until almost the end of act two instead of doing them as they unlock like I did in act one.

I know. I started to hate the what chant as much as those on the receiving end. Every promo at that time just dragged out because the audience wouldn't shut up. But it was funny when Undertaker told them to say what if they like sleeping with their sister and they said what.

I saw it once. Tried to get my dad to watch it but he decided it wasn't his kind of movie because the first few minutes are a narration. He probably would of liked it if he kept watching as he like dumb action movies.

It's mostly on a whim or a second play though, first play through will usually be male. Last game I beat was Dragon Quest 3 HD2D and I picked female because vamp personalty is the best do to having no downside on stat gains, some of the best gear is also female exclusive. You can get a male vamp in HD2D but not until post game which defeats the whole point. I'm currently playing Dragon Warrior 3 GBC version and went with a female hero for the same reason.

It's easier than you'd expect, Ceodore fighting everything solo causes him to level like crazy so he gets to a point he can steamroll most enemies. On the same run as I did lvl 15 Hooded Man, I also capped everyone in their Tale. Porom was the most annoying as I recall.

This. EXP is divided between all party members. So with hooded man knocked out, Ceodore gains double exp.

It's so weird seeing edge go from basically the second worst character to one of the best. I really like the rebalancing they did for him and Edward.

It's like the devs realized Edges ninjutsu were to weak in the original so they ended up making level two ninjutsu op. I never did get why everyone says Edge is to weak. He was always pretty strong when I played. Though he usually joins around ten levels or more lower then everyone else.

It makes things more interesting to gear for the super boss IMO. Have to pay more attention to bands. Also makes blue / pink tails actually have a use because nobody would ever use them if you could just put adamant armor on everyone.

True. I stacked int gear on Edge and he carried the whole party through all but the last few floors of the final dungeon, everyone else had to put the pop corn down and do something in random encounters. Still would have been nice to have more then ten adamantite.

That's the best way to do it since he wont gain MP from all those levels.

Can't believe they would cut the challenge dungeons for other ports. I heard the reason given is it doesn't make since to do them now that you have the whole game unlike the original release that came out one chapter at a time. Only down side of the PSP version is you can't farm infinite adamantite like in the Wii version.

With the exception of 18 all the women in dragon ball have been reduced to a shell of their former self. Bulma stayed relevant the longest do to being there from the start but now her whole personality is middle aged woman going through a mid life crisis over her fading looks. At least she dodge the house wife bullet that took Chichi and Videl.

The problem is every time they "try", they make it as stupid as possible knowing no one will like it so they can keep making the Goku and Vegeta show.

My dad did until he passed a few years ago. It was a waste of money since we already had internet from xfinity cable.

If Cell trained for a couple months he'd come back with a new (lazy recolor) form that makes Goku and Vegetas jaw drop at how much stronger Cell is then them now. Cell would then fail to absorb Beerus because the goal post was moved again to keep Beerus the strongest.

Ocean did loose the rights to dub DBZ just after the Ginyu Force showed up. Then another company called West Wood got the rights to dub DBZ in Canada starting when Goku returned to Earth to learn about the androids. Then West Wood hired the voice actors from Ocean dub to do the rest of DBZ. Though they used the same script Funimation used.

I disagree that Sabat was better latter in the series, Drummond was always the best Vegeta. Also unhinged Vegeta is best Vegeta.

Yes. Played final fantasy 2 on it a couple months ago only to find out physical copies crash during certain scenes making the game unplayable. Though I still have my PS2 and it works just fine there.

5 is good too. People don't seem to LOVE it because the story isn't as bombastic, but i think it is good. I love the characters, their chemistry. They feel like they are really good friends as the game goes on. Bartz is one of the best protagonists. He might not have a brooding backstory, but he is fun, a little dorky, friendly, and a good leader. A proto-Zidane. Ex-Death is a fun villain, because he just loves what he does. He is intimidating, but also extremely petty. He actually does the stupid thing where people say why doesn't the villain just ______ and _____ the heroes? And he does.

And the game has plenty of twists as well. Major character deaths. Some good side quests. Some funny mechanics like the Chicken Sword. Super bosses.

Not saying that you were hating on 5, I just think it deserves to be mentioned with 4 and 5.

Not to mention one of the best battle systems in the story.

5 Definitely deserves to be in the conversation next to 4 and 6 when talking about the best 2D final fantasy. I'd also say part of why 5 doesn't get much love is do to the plot being more light hearted then 4 and 6. I've heard 5 is just as beloved as 4 and 6 in Japan but 5 lacks the nostalgia 4 and 6 gets in the west do to skipping the original release. 5 has one of the best/fun job systems where it lets you use abilities from another job you leveled up. For example you can give a monks bare fist ability to a white mage and still punch things just as hard as a monk when a heal isn't needed so the healer isn't just standing around doing nothing most of the time.

As you said you'll be starting with 4 instead, I'll add that I think the 3D version is the best and it's a bit more challenging then the 2D version.

True. Though I think people shouldn't throw away there old games and consoles just because a shiny new toy comes out. This helps to eliminate the urge to buy games you already bought again.

I actually quite like the Pixel Remaster approach for most games and the best thing about FFTs remaster is the fact that it's getting the game off being console exclusive and not just console exclusive but exclusive to retired dead consoles.

WotL was on PSP and the digital version could be played on Vita. I'm pretty sure there's also mobile versions of FFT.

I am looking forward to DQ 1&2 remakes. But I think I'll pass on the FF Tactics remaster. The Qol features look nice, but why bother when they're taking the pixel remaster route and excluding content from other versions.

Zeboyd has a good system. After a certain amount of random encounters, they stop appearing unless you force one from the menu.

I liked how they did that. Between that system and what was done in bravely default and the final fantasy pixel remasters, that's how random battles should be.

The best mobs for exp/gold/drops never show in the over world and only show up with a specific mob at a low chance.
