my brother in law and his gf brought their dog over to my in laws for Memorial Day. Its mostly Rottweiler mixed with something. I know they breed dogs and cats as a side hustle. The dog never leaves my BIL side even though it was her dog before they even met which I thought was weird. Then while eating my mother in law mentions something about the dogs tail being short to which his gf says that she had him de-tailed by putting a rubber band on it so that it would fall off a few days later. She also mentioned that sometimes they just cut it off but that can make a mess. My other bil and his gf told her that was cruel and left the room. They're about to leave the party early.

i looked it up and apparently this is a thing thats banned in most other 1st world countries but still on the books here? If you dont want a dog with a tail then why not just get a different dog.
