It seems more like you want to revel in his suffering, because he opposes your idealogy. There's obviously the fact that penalty was absurdly high. Second the alleged defamation took place over 10 years ago, and he had long changed his mind on the issue. Thirdly people are allowed to question the validity of stories. Finally it seems unlikely that anyone would threaten the families of the Sandy Hook shooting, because they listened to Alex Jones.
