I'm normally in the camp of the book is better than the movie. Ultimately for me that is mostly true. But it also doesn't mean I don't enjoy the movie or think it is good. Especially in the case of Stephen King's stuff.

For whatever reason so many of the movies that cover his material have been excellent. He himself has been very pleased with a number of them. Some of my favorites have been adapted from short stories. Stuff like Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me. And again a number of others even if I like the books material better I still think it was a quality movie. Stuff like The Green Mile, Misery and a host of others.

This is a good point. Needful Things and the Dark Half were really good too IMO.

This so much. Judge me however you want I don't care but I loved the Brendan Frasier Mummy movies and I also loved him in his limited role in Scrubs. It's so cool to see him make an actual comeback through just sheer will of legitimately good acting.

That standing ovation at the screening was a pure feel-good moment for sure,.

This. I don't quite get all the Biden shit. He has gotten a lot of good domestic stuff done even with the Republican traitors in congress trying to stop anything good for the citizenry happening. Build Back Better is better (pardon the pun) for the country than anything Republicans have done in 50 years.

And let's not forget about him retying the bonds with other Western Countries and our Allies after Trump destroyed them all. Ukraine would already be in Putin's hand if Trump was President. And why the actual withdrawal was a shit-show (though not sure what else could have made it better) he got us finally out of Afghanistan.

I can even understand his initial stance on Israel. Zero excuses for still having that stance though.

To even try to compare the two is ridiculous. One of them is literally trying to destroy Democracy, our Justice System and the Country.

I cant see any way they could be related. The defense had no way of knowing the jury was about to reach something. If anything they were relaxed because Merchan was on the verge of sending the jury home for the day.

I hope you are right and this is just my paranoia taking over. But I've always got the feeling that in some cases both sides have at least a feeling about the jury.
