My current boss asked if I would like today to be my last day and I said no, for this exact reason. He wastes time all day and leaves the other coworkers to pick up his slack, so Im going to use these next few days to make his life at work much harder.

Considered this guy a friend, too. I received the call today and because we were in the car together I couldnt take it privately.

He even congratulated me after the call. Then when we all got back to the office my current boss called me out in front of everyone in the conference room.

Apparently my coworker told the boss that I didnt feel like working anymore since I would be getting a new, much higher paying job for the field I went to school for.

I was hoping to tell my current boss myself, in private, this afternoon.

It was a Tuesday. I was at the same job Im currently at but I was working 1st shift then and had Wednesday and Thursdays off so I was happy it was my Friday. I had a weekend ahead of playing video games and relaxing.

Also it was 10 days before I picked up my Alaskan Malamute puppy Achilles. So I was looking forward to that

Happy might be the worst song ever made simply cuz of its cultural impact and spread. If it was a song that died after a week I would be like whatever but at the time it came out I worked at a call center and it played at that call center multiple times a day, for every event, all the fucking time, for like 5 years. I have a personal vendetta against that song.

Even if it were your first listening, the song objectively sucks ass from a lyrical and musical standpoint. Im hard pressed to find a worse song from that genre in the 21st century

I was 13 at the time and had just moved to a new, very small school in podunk Mississippi. Only friend I had was my Bassett hound, who was killed three weeks later by two free roaming pit bulls that belonged to one of the rich kids family who also played golf with the local police force.

Will never forget that year or the people involved. Karma will have its way with them.
