I haven't read the whole topic but I think in the Dracula novel the stake is less to kill them but more to pin them down so they can decapitate Lucy.

Also something that needs to be talked about more is Van Helsing is not some bad ass vampire hunter but more a guy that kind of likes looking up stuff and is like 'holy crap...I think this is a real vampire...' He also thinks Dracula might not know all his powers at all which is such a human thing to apply to Dracula...Like I love the idea of a big scary vampire doesn't actually know all his powers. To the point I remember one post suggesting that Dracula has forgotten that regular people can just walk into any place. Hence him greeting Jon with 'you are welcome into my house.' Okay probably just simple courtesy but it's fun to think about.

Marineford was overhyped for me. Enjoyable but I had numerous people tell me in person it was one of the best manga arcs. Probably didn't help was I heard Ace and Whitebeard died around the time anime was out.

Ace died because he got triggered by a 'yo daddy' joke and forgot twice that Captain's word is law.

Thankfully Water 7-Enies Lobby-Return totally lived up to the hype. I started re-reading One Piece about 2022 after stopping around Drum Island in 2010 I think. Anyway I was so glad I had no idea what Blackbeard looked like because I was shocked when I learned who that fat grumpy guy was who did that big speech about dreams. Doubly shocked when I first saw what Whitebeard looked like.

Mormans and Witnesses always seemed culty to me unless I'm getting them mixed up. Still not wishing people to shoot them of course.

I legit started to play Dragon Age Origins back when it came out and stopped about a quest in. Last year or so I got a wild urge to play it and was so happy I did. Did three runs. Female City Elf rogue was a favorite run but human warrior on first complete run was great actually finishing the run.
Third run was male Elf mage who romanced Morigan and tried my hardest to play up shy, wholesome guy made me wish there was a very more dialogue options.
Need to do one of the two Dwarve origins some day.

Heisei I used to love as a kid but now there's a bit too much beam shooting. Millennium Era is like super mid aside from GMK or Final Wars...with Final Wars being obnoxious trash for the most part. The Megaguirus final battle is peak and Kiryu itself is pretty great.

GMK, Biollante, Shin Godzilla, Minus One, Terror of Mecha Godzilla, Hedorah and original Vs. Mothra are my favorites. The MV Godzilla movies are also dear to me.

Yes.

I like T1 a touch more. Just so dirty, meaner and the cast feels even more outgunned by the Terminator than the cast in T2. Even if the budget was smaller I just liked the look of the future war where the robots used big vehicles and only humanoids for settlements. T2 it looks cleaner, the humans die from a shot to the chest rather than just exploding and the humanoid robots are foot soldiers.

Yeah. I love how people are like "he's a dictator!" Oh how many years has Putin ruled Russia? Zelensky isn't perfect but he has the unenviable position.

It took me a bit to get used to combat but I feel like having to dodge and parry real time makes it mega engaging and keeps you on edge.

Oh yeah I need to play more of that game.

Donald and Daffy's scene together was way better than Mickey and Bugs being chums.
I think there was a deleted or unmade scene where the two are chatting and examining pianos, implying their antagonism was all part of the act.

It is different and y'know....that's what I love about the three Doom games is they make an effort to make each one feel different. Dark Ages you have a shield and it's more 'stand and fight.'

I must admit I didn't think the second movie was going to do so well. Curious to see how the third one does now. A tad annoyed that 'fire' is themed as bad hopefully it'll turn out to be a bit more nuanced.

...Okay I like the idea of the Reed from that crappy 2015 Fantastic Four movie being The Maker to be a great idea.

Well I really liked it and I do like it when the FF come off as a family and they do more weird science adventures. Not that I dislike it when they be more superheroes and Ben gets in a grudge match against the Hulk.

Pedro actually grew on me as Reed as I watched.

Dave is his dad's name too I think.
