Dark Souls, the first one. At one point I had most of the game memorized and mapped out. Not so much anymore, but its still a game I can pick up and play all the way through no problem, and still enjoy the hell out of it with a new build to try.

Hades also comes to mind. Hundreds of hours into that game. Perfect one to get right into due to its nature. Havent played it in several years though.

HBO did a good job with The Last of Us.

Im very surprised this was only mentioned once this entire topic. This is by far the most 1:1 adaptation of a video game that ever exists.

Of course, it still isnt entirely 1:1, there are some changes like the Bill and Frank episode and other stuff here and there.

But its still easily the most accurate video game adaptation out there imo.

Earlier this year, I went through every season of the MCU Defenders shows, except for Jessica Jones season 3 (just never got around to seeing that one). All 3 seasons of Daredevil, 2 seasons of Jessica Jones, 2 seasons of Luke Cage and Iron Fist, The Defenders, and both seasons of Punisher.

I personally thought season 2 of Jessica Jones was the absolute worst season of all that I watched. Yes, even worse than both seasons of Iron Fist. However, Im in the minority for Iron Fist because I actually kinda liked season 1, but didnt really like season 2 (it wasnt terrible though).

Its a shame because I really liked season 1 of Jessica Jones, its one of my favorites of all the seasons I watched. Only the 3 Daredevil seasons were better than JJ S1 imo. Which makes the second season just so much more disappointing.

I only saw it for completionist sake since I was seeing everything before Born Again came out, but if you dont care for seeing them all for completion, I wouldnt recommend it.

I love both Prometheus and Covenant. Especially Covenant, its actually my third favorite Alien movie after Romulus and the original Alien.

Also always feel like the odd one out when it comes to my preference in Alien movies. Really dont know why people hate Prometheus/Covenant so much, but its definitely the popular opinion pretty much everywhere.

Same with Aliens, I liked it but I just dont love it as much as everyone else does. I like Romulus/Alien/Covenant more tbh.

I recommend seeing it in theaters if you can. Its a great experience

You know what, thats fair. Looking back, my initial post was indeed me being a jackass, and I genuinely apologize for that. Same with those old posts you dug up, where I hated on anime. Alcohol was a factor for me posting all those, but thats still not a good excuse since I still decided to post them, and I realize that I was an asshole for being so hateful towards people liking things that I dont like. I will try better from now on to think before I post things like that and try to just let people enjoy what they enjoy.

But calling me sexist or racist for not liking kpop and anime was crossing a line. Those are grave accusations that I dont take lightly, which is why I had a meltdown (?) as other people here pointed out. Just because I dont like kpop or anime, it doesnt make me a sexist or racist, that is just absurd. People are allowed to dislike things, just like people are also allowed to like things I dont like, which Ill try not to be such a jackass about in the future.

That is a hell of a way to start the show. Im now fully hooked and excited to see the rest.

So its a one time private event thats probably not even real and just exists as an idea for marketing the film.

That really sucks because I would genuinely be down to try it out, seems like it would be a fun time.

Loved this movie and all its sequels too. Yes even Paradox. I know that 10 Cloverfield Lane got praise for the most part (and rightfully so, its great), but I never really understood why everyone hated Cloverfield Paradox.

I remember when Cloverfield Paradox came out, I went to Netflix and saw it blind, loved it and couldnt wait to discuss it with others online. Then it just blindsided me that apparently everyone absolutely hated it. Such a depressing feeling.

Sinners was great.

True, wow my memory is terrible, forgot that also came out this year. Sinners would be my second favorite this year after Weapons.

Actually, even though I like Weapons as a whole more, Sinners has my favorite scene of the year with its mid credits scene. Genuinely makes me tear up and full of emotion every time I see it. Definitely the most emotional scene of the year.

Its easily the best movie of the year. Nothing else released this year came close imo

If he's already watched the OT then it really doesn't matter. First viewing of Star Wars should always be the OT by itself, but after that, chronological is fine.

Ah I missed the part where he mentioned hes already seen the OT. In that case thats fine. I personally still rewatch in release order myself, but yea on a rewatch it doesnt really matter. I just personally find it more immersive and satisfying to start on the OT.

I did this recently, though over a longer span, and included a little more. I did 1>2>3>Obi-Wan Kenobi>Solo>Rogue One>4>5>6>7>8>9. Technically, I think Solo takes place slightly before Kenobi, but they're completely separate and work better thematically with 3 leading into Kenobi and Solo leading into Rogue One.

Its been a long time since Ive seen Solo or Rogue One (since they came out in theaters), but does Solo have any actual story threads that are mentioned or followed up in Rogue One or Andor?

I ask because I was planning on rewatching Rogue One before I see Andor for the first time, but if Solo leads into Rogue One like you said here, then I might have to throw that one on too before I start Andor.

Its both. Lots of great comedic moments, both during horror scenes and outside of them. Its a very well written and entertaining script. Personally my favorite movie of the year.

That directors previous movie, Barbarian, was also similar in that aspect. Zach Cregger started his career in comedy with The Whitest Kids You Know

I envy you all that can take that much caffeine per day. Caffeine helps me with lack of energy and focus issues, both once I get to around 100 mg or more (sometimes even less really) I get insane anxiety issues, specifically when it starts to wear off.

How do you all do it without getting all this anxiety? I feel like I would get through work days so much easier with it but because of that I avoid it.

I think its the best movie of the year. Great buildup with the mystery that leads to a batshit insane climax at the end. Audience in my theater was laughing and cheering at the climax.

Easily the best movie of the franchise, and it isnt even close really. I rewatched the series before seeing this one and theyre all like 6-7/10 movies at best, but this new one is like an 8-9/10. Its so much better written and more entertaining than all the other ones.

All of the transformers movies are just michael bay making the goriest films possible in disguise as a PG-13 movie. He shows guys getting their faces ripped off, spines torn out, bodies blasted in half with fluids spraying out like a kurosawa film, dudes getting their brains blown out, heads ripped in half, and since it's all just robots, nobody is ever going to say shit. It's Mortal Kombat level violence. It's actually insane when you look at it.

This is exactly why I love these movies so much. The action is just so over the top and ridiculously entertaining.

Its also just filled with completely absurd humor, like anything with Shia LaBeoufs parents or his dogs, or John Turturro. Just utter juvenile nonsense.

Its all so insanely stupid and awful, which is why I love watching them so much. Bumblebee bored the hell out of me because it didnt have any of that stuff lol

I agree mostly because I just absolutely loathe jump scares. They are so annoying and uncomfortable to me.

Every time a trailer for one of those Conjuring or Annabelle movies, or any other jump scare slop movie plays, I dont even bother dealing with it anymore and just get up and leave the auditorium until its done. Its so obnoxious.

Ive never played a Soulslike game that wasnt the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, or Elden Ring.

From what Ive heard almost unanimously on the internet, Lies of P is the one non-FromSoft game in the genre to actually try. Glad its getting offered here, excited to give it a go.

If were talking Call of Duty Zombies, then there are actually many maps with playable celebrity guest character. Its been a big thing in almost every Black Ops game.

Call of Duty Black Ops, in addition to the four political figures in the map Five that you mentioned, also had Sarah Michelle Gellar, Danny Trejo, Robert Englund, Michael Rooker, and George Romero in the map Call of the Dead.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 had Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen, Joe Pantoliano, and Chazz Palminteri in the map Mob of the Dead.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 had Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, Jeff Goldblum, and Neal McDonough in the map Shadows of Evil.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 had Kiefer Sutherland, Helena Bonham Carter, Brian Blessed, and Charles Dance in the map Dead of the Night.

No, it doesnt. To be fair Im in the same boat with tons of hours and multiple playthroughs, but Ive never beaten the main story (or any of the guilds/side plots I think even).

But I just dont count that as beating the game even if you have so many hours.

I really really disliked season 1, but I forced myself to finish it since it was gonna connect with season 4 of The Boys. Such an inferior show in every way, to any season of The Boys.

I dont really want to see the new season, but I probably will since it will most likely connect with the final season of The Boys.

Ocarina of Time is the all time most cinematic beautiful Zelda game ever made, I dont care how dated it is, it still manages to make me choke up and get goosebumps throughout several epic grandiose scenes in the entire game. Its just pure perfection in its art.

Dont know why so many people put A Link to the Past over this masterpiece, its the quintessential Zelda experience imo.
