Tons of public places tend to play Fox News and CNN over their televisions both right wing networks, CNN is mid right wing, Fox is extreme right wing so one side will say the liberals are treating Trump unfairly and the other side is saying the liberals are maybe kinda making mountains out of molehills to whatever Trump does and says and the average person will think "Man, those liberals really hate Trump for no real reason" and not think much deeper than that and because Trump is constantly in the news being bombarded with propaganda like that as well as knowing more about Trump than about Biden and the average now has a sympathy bias for Trump and a negative view of Biden because problems in their lives be it personal of money wise will likely be blamed on Biden because he's the president now so this shit is happening under his fault and so on.

Through I can only speak as a Texan, there's no a single public area that plays MSNBC in this state it's all Fox News and CNN, propaganda not only works, it works so well that even people who aren't extremists fall for it because they are blasted with it every day, sometimes for hours on end for those who work in those public spaces with TVs that either can't be manipulated by them or flat out have rules that they MUST be on those channels, when I was younger I worked for a fast food place whose TV was always on CNN, the remote was in the kitchen but there was a strict rule that the TV must always be on CNN, even if we were on break and nobody was coming in we could not change the channel.

I buy coffee beans from Amazon and there is such a wide range of choices. My latest find is Brazilian Peaberry where you buy 2 pounds for $26.99 and they will custom roast (and grind).

People fought, suffered and died for representational goverment. It is so sad that fellow Americans are willing to watch it being voted away or are even going to vote it away.

Most of us fight for freedom in our lives if only in small ways.

There is only one kind people in the US. I exclude as people anyone with enough bucks to command Trump and Biden.

What I am seeing is people who have given up on freedom and settling on vicarious thrills.

Trump is a vicarious thrill for those who give up on freedom and their dreams.

Biden et al and refusing to vote is a thrill of godlikepower.

I loose my way too but I keep reminding myself that if Trump looses there will be other elections and we have a chance of straightening stuff out.

Fascism won't "arrive" in the sense of Nazi soldiers marching down your street. It's a slow progression in law and cultural norms.

There are plenty of independent pseudo Nazi military groups --- here and around the world. They certainly march down the streets.

I believe it is reasonable to predict that they will want to march if Trump wins and that Trump will let them.

This is partially true. There are billionaires who oppose Trump, the Kochs are an example. However, I think the Adelsons were also an example and she just gave Trump 100m. Ultimately, for them, it comes down to the guy promising them lower taxes to the guy promising them more. Unless they're someone who truly believes taxes are used for the betterment of society, they have no incentive to vote/fund the Democratic Party. It's important to remember that capitalism is not anti-fascism, in fact much of the elite class supported Hitler because he said he'd take care of them and many of them thrived under Nazi Germany as a result. There are factions of the ruling class who both think they can control the fascist demagogue and a faction who actively wants it, in the U.S. they're typically also Christinan Nationalists, so Christo-fascists.

Biden is still the alternative to fascism, though. No matter how much those 2 examples you posted afterwards suck and are a legitimate stain on his character, that's still leagues away from what Trump promises on those exact same issues in addition to a plethora of others, which includes a literal suspension of the Constitution, or so he's expressed the desire to do so.

I have always heard that not all of the ruling class want fascism in America and that Biden is an alternative to fascism.

Biden shut the border with Mexico to asylum seekers. In and of itself this is bad enough but contrasted to the fact Ukrainians are granted TPS it strikes me as racist.

(Apparently) Biden just let Israel stage an attack into Gaza on the aid pier. Yes. Hostages were rescued but there was supposed to be a ceasefire that would release all of the hostages.

It is only June. I am feeling that fascism is going to arrive before the November election.
