Libertarian party are either gullible fucks or the rich trying to keep their money. They completely lost the plot when thinking the government is the only limiting factor in our freedom. In America at least, they just let Capitalism slide and pretend that it doesn't limit freedoms itself. They also tend to ignore the social hierarchies that limit freedom, such as white supremacy and patriarchy.

If you want to be independent of the State, you gotta build up other structures that replace what the State leverages over us. Medicine, food, infrastructure, community justice, etc. . Libertarians just want to jump to the end goal without putting in that work. Ultimately I want similar goals under a socialist economy, but it's not as easy as voting for a 3rd party.

Its an amazing game that, honestly, deserves to be spoken in the same breath as Chrono Trigger. Probably the best music of any video game.

Fun fact, you can be both a Buddhist and an atheist. Not saying you necessarily are but many Buddhists don't believe in the Devas and it's also arguable if the Devas would even be considered gods.

One of the reasons I was initially interested in Buddhism was because I used to be atheist, and Buddhism was pretty much non-theistic. You can also be Christian and Buddhist. Very interesting religion.

I don't mind people dogging on it if it's really that bad, but some of the Steam reviews had people at 0.1 hours writing dissertation-length screeds undoubtedly prepared beforehand.

Yeah, I'm not gonna place stock in user reviews. Lot of people bitter about it not actually being a Bloodlines sequel, and more of its own thing. Everyone knew what this game was gonna be, the devs never obfuscated that it's really just Vampire Dishonored.

I can see that. Honestly I am enjoying some of the Tremere abilities you get early. Can sneak and do the blood boil, lob a bottle and take out a small group then recall to safety. I can't wait to do even more crazy shit.

Put in like 3 hours tonight. Honestly, it's not bad at all. Combat is a little jank but I feel when you unlock more abilities, it'll pick up. Characters are awesome, especially Fabien, Tolly, Safia and Ryong. Great atmosphere as well.

Not necessarily. I'm not an atheist nor agnostic, but I don't follow any religion. Views are mainly influenced by Buddhism, Daoism and Panentheism. My wife is Buddhist though, so if I want to dodge any religious talk I just say I'm Buddhist and call it a day.

I used to smoke, think worst was just like a pack a week in my teens/early 20s. Mainly for social and relaxation reasons. Started vaping when I was 27ish, felt like a douche, and "quit". Would smoke maybe 2-3 cigarettes a year until I met my wife and completely gave it up. Luckily I was never addicted because while I smoked, I was already prescribed Wellbutrin so I was effectively immune to nicotine addiction.

So glad I quit, and now that I work with teenagers its a shame to see so many vaping so young and think nothing of it. Then again I had the same attitude their age, we just didnt pretend it was healthy.

I agree with this sentiment. "Antifa" is a super nebulous term that, honestly, only has two practical uses:

1) A label to slap on people to either disregard their grievances or turn them into a target.
2) Describe various actions and organizing against fascist elements of society.

While punching a Nazi while counter protesting is the biggest face of antifascist action, majority of it is information gathering/dispersing. Like identifying local members of white supremacist and fascist groups, giving that information to the public, notifying hotels/conference centers they're hosting fascists, etc.

My wife and I have been using Mint for like 2 years. Have had 0 problems and we just download music/podcasts on our home Wi-Fi so we don't eat up data. No reason to go back to paying $80+/mo for service.

On the zero percent chance that it wasn't a shock collar, his explanation still doesn't explain the attitude he had toward a dog wanting to be a fucking dog.

Reading a thread on Reddit, a commenter explained that the dog has joint issues. She wants to get up and lay on hardwood floor next to Hasan, but it's not healthy for her to do so. He apparently had Internet issues as well and, unfairly, snapped at his dog over it. I don't watch his shit enough to verify any of this, but there's a reasonable explanation for some stuff people gloss over.

I feel like Hasan haters have enough reason to dislike the guy without manufacturing outrage. I've become very "meh" about the guy over time, but the shock collar allegations are a bit of a stretch.

Looking for some horror games to play with my wife. Made a spooky BG3 run topic and got good responses, but it doesn't have the intensity we're looking for. Games we're playing already:
