| TheSlinja 09/05/24 11:00:28 PM #6 | semantics arent something i really care about but I think its worth noting that metroidvanias typically have one large map where this gameplay loop takes place and while zelda has a overworld the majority of this gameplay is in self contained dungeons that you never go back to when finished. getting an item in metroid opens opportunities throught the entire game retroactively while new items in zelda are mostly contained to the new item zone and forward (and some items are better than others when it comes to using them outside of their dungeon at all) --- BE YOUR TRUE MIND. |
